March 2015 Edition 9 Week 9 Term 1
Last week we were involved in outstanding activities in and
out of the school setting. Classrooms were again filled with engaging learning.
We were visited by Abby Tozer Captain of Tumut High
School along with Mr Ken Fitzgerald from the Tumut RSL
sub branch. Abby handed our school captains the ANZAC Flame. All classes attended this special ceremony.
Kindergarten had made special poppies to wear on their
uniforms for this occasion.
Our Franklin captains Leith and Elijah than came with me to McAuley School to hand the flame on.
All local schools then met at the cenotaph for the ANZAC
flame to be handed to our Mayor last Thursday. It was great to see all local school come together to be involved in
this special ceremony.
Our school choir was invited to open the senior citizen
luncheon on Wednesday.
Miss Rampling and the choir performed a great song
called “Best Day of my Life”
This Friday “Dinosaur Science” will be staged in the
Miles Franklin Hall at 9-30am. If you have not paid
FranklinCover $5 needs to be paid at the office.
With lashings of humor, loads of audience participation and huge scale models, Dinosaur Science is designed to
'wow' even the most cynical students will unearth their
inner paleontologist.

Mention head lice and most of us instantly develop an itch. While head lice and nits,
(the eggs of head lice) are certainly annoying and persistent, they're not dangerous.
