3Former DAyDa sempre la zona giorno di Former si contraddistingue per la manifattura, unica, dei propri sistemi e pezzi, guidata da

concetti di design del tutto originali. Di fronte a tanta preziosità il living della casa si propone nuovamente come fulcro

irrinunciabile della stessa, assumendo il ruolo attraverso armonia estetica e coerenza funzionale. I programmi Plinto 1.6,

con basi e pensili attrezzate, e Set System a spalla orizzontale, dipingono il giorno con pennellate assai diverse tra loro

ma entrambi sanno essere anche perfetti elementi centro-stanza cui affidarsi per la ripartizione degli spazi interni.

Allo stesso modo i pezzi, dal tavolo e madie della nuova collezione Hermitage, al tavolo Brando, su su fino alle inedite

sedie Odyssee, Syn ed Ewa, svolgono la loro funzione “complementare” con grazia d’immagine e razionalità di utilizzo.

Former's day area has always distinguished itself. Perfectly manufactured, and with unique concepts and designs it

makes the living room a focal point of the home expressing aesthetic harmony and functional coherence. The programs

Plinto 1.6, with its base units and functional containers, and Set System based on horizontal design, furnish the living

room in two completely different ways, but both are foreseen to divide spaces as well with their free standing capabilities.

The pieces, starting with table and sideboards of the new collection Hermitage, the table Brando, and the beautiful new

chairs Odysee, Syn and Ewa, fullfil their complementary function in the best of ways.

Materia prima superiore e lavorazione di eccellenza rendono lecreazioni di Former quasi pezzi unici. Qui la madia Hermitage nefornisce una perfetta testimonianza, cui la lama di metallo con funzionedi maniglia nulla sottrae, anzi molto aggiunge nell’eminenza deltratto.

The best possible materials, and eccellent workmanship make Former's creations unique pieces. The sideboard Hermitage is aperfect example of this. The metal blade functioning as a handle,adds character to the unit and renders it unique in its kind.

Syn è una sedia dalla spiccata assonanza nordica. Sia provvista diseduta in legno o in tessuto o ancora in pelle ed ecopelle, il legno difrassino che la struttura in esclusiva, declinato nelle varie tonalità cheda quella naturale prendono spunto, esalta senza indugi un designapparentemente freddo per latitudine ma sicuramente accoglienteper comodità.

Syn is a chair with a nordic feel to it. The seat can be in wood, ormay be upholstered in fabric, leather or ecoleather. The Ash woodenstructure expresses an essential design, but with great comfort.

La collezione Hermitage si fregia anche di un tavolo nel contempoimportante, per lo spessore del piano e l’imponenza del disegno, eleggero grazie alla particolare configurazione delle proprie gambe inmetallo. Materiale quest’ultimo che, accoppiato al legno, conferiscealla visione d’insieme un tocco d’originale diversità.

The Hermitage collection also includes a table which perfectly bringsout the essential line of the collection. The thickness of the top, andits impressive design, appears lightweight thanks to the particularconfiguration of the metal legs which together with the wooden topcreate an extremely original design.

Leggere la spalla orizzontale di Set System è esercizio apparentementedifficile. Finché, inerpicandosi per anse, piani a sbalzo e schienali assentinon se ne comprende la funzione precipua che è quella d’interpretarelo spazio a piacimento in lungo ed in largo, suddividendolo persino. Come in questo caso in cui l’elemento porta-tv girevole funge da spar-tiacque tra ambienti diversi.

Light and based on horizontal panels, Set system at first glance mayseem complicated. That is, until one does not recognize the basic lawsthat make up the sytem rendering it without a doubt one of the most versatile and creative bookcase systems in the market. It allows for interpretations of space which go from walls to central units uniquely dividing space. As in this case where the unit with rotating tv panel separates two very different areas of the home.

L’eleganza del tavolo Brando va di pari passo con quella della sediaOdyssee. Così come la complessa lavorazione che dà vita al primo bensi accoppia alla preziosa manifattura della seconda. Brando si differenziaper il dettaglio della gamba che, fruendo di un raffinato ricamo architettonico,permette all’occhio di cogliere contemporaneamente i due differenti volumi del tavolo. Odyssee, sedia figlia di poltroncina o viceversa, lasciaal proprio schienale ricurvo ogni stupore ed alla seduta impagliata ovvero in tessuto, pelle o ecopelle ogni comodità.

The elegance of the Brando table goes hand in hand with that of Odyssee.In the same manner the complex manufacturing of the first perfectlymatches that of the second. Brando sets itself apart with the detail of the leg which recalls a refined architectural concept and allows to perceive the two different volumes of the table in a single glance. Odyssee, a mix between chair and armchair, with its elegant curvedbackrest and seat wrappen in twine, or fabric, leather or ecoleather.

l’area riservata al riposo e quella deputata allo stare insieme non è così marcato. Ciò avviene grazie alla collezione di

armadi App i quali per necessità fungono da contenitori ma per vocazione “creano” ambienti attraverso i portali che si

schiudono su l’una o l’altra porzione domestica. Una volta serrati questi ultimi, tuttavia, ecco le luci ambrate avvolgere

letti dal tratto impeccabile, comò, anche centro-stanza, pregiati e comodini dal design unico.

Former combines the night area with the living area in its ideal home, in which space is perceived as one, and where the

limits of the areas dedicated to sleep and daily activity are not clearly defined. This is possible thanks to the wardrobe

collection APP which have a function of acting as containment, but at the same time create different ambiances and

functionally divide the home while saving space. The area is completed by a bed with impeccable design, chest of drawers

which can be free standing as well, and bedside tables with unique design.

Nello sviluppo della collezione di armadiature App assumono via via vitapropria soluzioni artistiche o funzionali d’eccellenza. Come Ray, antaideale per colui che non ama maniglie sporgenti in quanto l’impugnaturarisulta completamente a scomparsa con la possibilità, addirittura, di personalizzarne l’interno con materiali diversi e lavorati in maniera assaipregevole in quanto privi di giuntura alcuna. O come la predisposizioneper il deumidificatore, oggetto quasi necessario per quelle zone delmondo ove la pesante umidità dell’aria è parte costante e deleteria dellaquotidianità.

In the development of the APP wardobe collection the various wardrobesseem to take life and evolve in their artistic or functional solutions. As isthe case with Ray, the ideal door for those who don't want handles thatstick out. The handle is completely integrated in the design and allowfor personalisation by using different materials and colours. Creating ahandle like this while maintaining a door which remains a single piece isexactly the special workmanship Former is known for. The predispositionfor a dehumidifyer, an object almost indispensable in areas of the worldwhere humidity is a constant nemesis of perfectly functioning closed spaces. In areas of lesser humidity this solution can be optimalwhen using the wardrobe for example as shoe storage.
