A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear Colleague,

When our Society was established onMay 1994 by its 21 founder members weadopted the bylaws of the Society, animportant part of it is listed in this booklet.

After a little more than 17 years sinceestablishment of our Society, I really amdelighted to declare that our Society had

been very successful in achieving most of itsobjectives.

One of the main objectives of the society is to hold thisannual meeting in September every year. The society had beenholding the meeting regularly every year since its establishment.Due to the January 25th Youth Revolution the meeting wasrescheduled to be held during December 8-9, 2011.

This year the society continued this tradition by having the supportand collaboration with the Egyptian Representative Committee(ERC) of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Every year the Society holds a large number of workshops fortraining on Advances in the Techniques of Management ofInfertility with hands on training in several governorates inEgypt.

The society publishes the Egyptian Journal of Fertility andSterility since 1997. Today 32 issues of our journal are alreadypublished. It is published regularly every six months. Our journalenjoys a great popularity in Egypt. It also attracts researchers fromabroad to publish their original articles in it. Publishing a journal isnot an easy job. I would like to thank the Editor in Chief Prof.Mohamed Yahia, for his great support to publishing this Journal.

When we started our Society we were only 21 foundermembers, to day we are more than 1050 registered members. Thisis one of the largest national fertility societies worldwide. We arereally growing very fast. Thanks to the enthusiasm, which you allexpressed and I do look forward to seeing more members, joiningour Society. Based on the records of the activities of your Society, the Society is a member of the prestigious International Federationof Fertility Societies (IFFS).
