IntroductionFluytec GRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester) cartridge filters provide optimal behaviour with water of various degrees of salinity, reducing the maintenance needed in these conditions and optimizing the installation cost of filtering equipment.

General review of Double Flange Filter.

The bodies of these filters are designed according to the Ad-Merkblatt design code from pressure vessels and are made according to the 97/23 CE S. S.3.3 European Standard for Pressure Filters.

The standard pressure is 6 bar and it is possible to design equipment for different nominal pressures to order.

The internal parts in contact with the water are of various plastics and, when of metal, are suitably plasticised. The seals are O-rings and are designed for easy replacement and maintenance.

The bodies have a natural internal finish while externally they are covered with a twin component paint and finished with a top coat of paint.

All the main connections for the fluid inlet and outlet and the vent and drain are designed with flanges.

The equipment is anchored at the base with Carbon Steel legs, each with a hole for anchoring studs, not supplied by the manufacturer.

Traditional double flange type cartridge filters with 40 to 100 cartridges.

These filters have inlet and outlet connections on the side of the body consisting of two flanges, an upper one, also called the closure, and a low one at the bottom, on which the cartridges are housed.

1. FTP Medium Flow series

Options

The bottom of the cartridge is located on the guide pipe, the base of which has a perimeter flange to seal the bottom end of the cartridge - Figure 1 -. The top is closed with a part exclusively designed and manufactured by Fluytec called “teat” which is pressed against the

cartridge by the spring between it and the top and/or filter lid - Figures 2 and 3 -.

This system ensures the perfect sealing of the cartridge, making it impossible for the fluid to pass through any place other than the filtering medium (the end purpose of the filter) - Figure 4 -.

Cartridge filters with sword system and single flange for high flows.

Filters consisting of a body with a single flange in which the inlet connection is at the bottom while the outlet is in the top lid of the filter.

The false bottom plate on the flange is the support from which the swords hang.

3. FTP HighFlow series:swords system

The filter cartridges are mounted on swords, supports with their heads screwed into the false bottom plate and with a nut threaded onto their tops to seal the cartridge - Figure 1 -.

The lower plastic grille gives the filter pack the necessary rigidity to prevent the

cartridges from breaking due to internal vibration - Figure 2 -. With an additional false bottom plate and set of swords, a filter pack can be prepared on site while the other is operating, thus reducing the equipment’s downtime - Figure 3 - .
