INTRODUCTION

Prospecting and mapping were carried out in Dysart

Township during the summer of 1978 by Harry Dowhaluk. As

a result of this prospecting, certain uranium showings in

Pre-Cambrian marble were discovered. The following

property was ^staked:

E.O. 510220 S*s Lot 14 Cone. V

E.O. 510221 - 22 Lot 14 Cone. IV

E.O. 510223 - 24 Lot 15 Cone. IV

E.O. 510225 - 26 N*s Lot 16 Cone. Ill

Other claims were staked to protect any easterly or

south-easterly extensions.

The following lot was optioned from Sheffield

Investments Ltd.:

Lot 13 Cone. IV. Dysart Township (See Appendix "A")

2. TRENCHING

A total of 880 feet of overburden was bulldozed

and dug with a back-hoe in sev^n locations shown colored

in .red on the accompanying geology map. The zones

trenched were A,C,D,G,H,I, and L. This work was done

in November 1978 by Robert Billings of Gooderham, Ontario,

and Gull Side Plumbing of Minden, Ontario. Detailed

sketches showing rock type and radiometric count accompany

this report. The readings shown are the T2 scale reading

Page 3: February lith, 1980. by Charles W. Pegg. P.Eng,

-2-

on a McPhar TVIA Spectrometer. The overburden depth is

shown on these sketches, as also is Mr. Dowhaluk's estimate

of the uranium plus thorium content of the rock at various

locations based on spectrometer readings. One actual

assay is shown on the "C" zone map and another on the "I"

zone map. A summary of the information relating to the

trenching is shown in Appendix "B".

The trenches were subsequently filled on instruc

tions from the Environment people.

3. DRILLING

Commencing on April 10th, 1979 / six holes totalling

756 feet were drilled on the Dysart property. The purpose

of the drilling was to determihe whether any of the trenched

uranium showings were of econoinic importance. The only

hole showing any uranium of note was No.3 but nearby holes

2 and 4 were of little interest.

The cores were stored at the drill sites.

The locations of the drillholes are shown on

Appendix "C". The drill logs and drill sections are attached,

The work was carried out by Harry Dowhaluk, B.A.,F.G.A.C.

under the Writer's supervision.

Respectfully submitted

Charles W. Pegg. P. Eng. (Ontario)
