WALK&TALKInnovative thinking on your feet

Stuck on a problem? Put on your walking shoes! It’ll boost your creativity and improve your health.

At AstraZeneca Gothenburg, we have a vision to become one of the best R&D sites in the world. One step in this direction is to maximise our creativity and productivity. The Coffee Lab was the latest contribution, and it’s now time to add a new concept to our tool-box. Introducing Walk & Talks, one-on-one and small group meetings to let your ideas flow while you walk and talk.

Recent studies show that walking boosts creative inspiration regardless of the environment but by the act of walking itself. Therefore, by using the right meeting for the right outcome, letting go of the meeting artifacts, we can both facilitate our workday and brainstorm by simple means.

The Math is Compelling

Turn two 30 minute meetings per day into walking meetings and you’ll score five hours of exercise per week. In our Walk & Talk concept you can choose between three different walking paths for short reconciliation meetings or a bit longer discussions. You can get on and off the paths throughout the site.

The Walk & Talk initiative is partly payed by the profits from the AstraZeneca Gothenburg Art Sell.

Thank you all for contributing and making this possible!
