Mass Times for the Family of Parishes The daily Mass time and locations will be changing on the first week of July. There was consultation and various considerations were taken into account. Through the development of the schedule, we tried to be as fair as possible. The following are some of the factors in our decision: incorporating the schedule of School Masses, availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Funeral Masses, past history, some family friendly times, priests’ days off and holiday coverage, timing of various parish organization meetings and programs, pastoral and administrative staff meetings (to name a few.) We will see how the rhythm of the new schedule serves the needs of our Family of Parishes. It was suggested that we do not have Mass on Monday. It was agreed among the priests that we would stagger our days off so that there could be the provision of Holy Mass every day of the week for our family of parishes.

The weekday schedule will be the following:

Monday 6:30 pm Holy Mass HA 7:00 pm Reconciliation HA Tuesday 8:00 am Holy Mass SA 10:00 am Holy Mass SM Wednesday 10:00 am Holy Mass OLOS 5:30 pm Reconciliation HA 6:30 pm Holy Mass HA Thursday 8:00 am Reconciliation SA 9:15 am Holy Mass SA (July & August – Holy Mass at 8:00 am) 12:00 pm Holy Mass HA Friday 8:00 am Holy Mass SA 12:00 pm Holy Mass HA Saturday 9:00 am Holy Mass SH (1st Saturday of the Month Only) 9:30 a.m. Reconciliation SH (1st Saturday of the Month Only)

Weekend Masses After much consultation and work with the SM/SH PPC, the weekend Masses will be the following:

Saturday 4:30 pm SA 5:00 pm OLOS (Reconciliation at 4:00 p.m.)

Sunday 8:30 am SH 9:00 am HA 9:30 am OLOS 10:30 am SM 11:00 am SA 1:30 pm HA (Latin Mass) 7:00 pm HA

HA = Holy Angels’, OLOS = Our Lady of Sorrows, SA = St. Anne’s, SM = St. Mary’s, SH = St. Helen’s MASS INTENTION CHANGES: Beginning July 1st, Mass Intentions scheduled for the Holy Angels’ for Wednesdays at 12 noon will be moved to the Wednesday evening Mass at 6:30 p.m. Mass intentions scheduled at St. Anne’s for the cancelled Wednesday 8 a.m. Masses will be moved, hopefully to sometime the same week. DIOCESAN MINISTERS PRAYER – June 24 -30, 2019 Monday: Rev. Lucio Couto; Tuesday: Rev. David Connolly, O.F.M Cap..; Wednesday: Melissa Pacitti-Fallone, Coordinator of Youth Ministry; Thursday: Rev. Tom Ferrera; Friday: Mary Heath; Saturday: Rev. Paul Baillageon; Sunday: Deacon Charles Stevens.

LITURGY OF THE WORD: Body and Blood of Christ First Reading: Melchizedek brought out bread and wine and blessed Abram (Genesis 14:18-20). Second Reading: Paul gives his description of the institution of the Eucharist (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Gospel: Jesus spoke to the crowd about the kingdom of God and then fed them with five loaves and two fish (Luke 9:11b-17). VOCATION VIEWS: Jesus asked, “Why do you not give them something to eat yourselves?” What do you have to offer to the hungry world?

THIS SACRED MEAL Today we celebrate the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Each of the readings includes a blessing and a sharing of food. They remind us of the central place of meals in our lives. Each meal brings to mind other meals: the sharing of cookies and milk, pizza and beer, loaves and fishes, bread and wine. When we prepare a meal for our family, our friends, even strangers, we always put something of ourselves into the preparation and the meal itself. The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ reminds us of what God put into the preparation for this meal that we celebrate today. We share this sacred meal and are transformed as we remember the death of Jesus and the sacrifice that nurtures our faith, sustains our lives, and supports our work. (Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.)
