ORPHAN CAMP | A SHORT OASISI would have never dreamed I would be so connected to orphans. My story was, “I don’t know an orphan personally and I don’t want to know an orphan!” My thought was that if I know an orphan personally then I have to do something. I didn’t

really know what I would dofor them. In 2007 LTW began taking teams to visit orphans in their orphanages (and we still do that type of ministry). I did, however begin praying that God would show us a

way to minister to orphans that would be more than just going to their orphanage and doing VBS with them one more time. God gave me the idea of camp and I am even more convinced that our Orphan Camps are our greatest means for ministering to these orphaned and abandoned children. Camp allows these kids to get out of “their walls” for a week. Why is orphan camp so vital to the spiritual development of these children?
