EVERGREEN LACROSSE CLUB

The Evergreen Lacrosse Club is an elite developmental lacrosse program based in Loudoun County, Virginia for both BOYS AND GIRLS OF ALL AGES. Our athletes train at the best facility in the Mid-Atlantic, the Evergreen Sports Complex, staffed with experienced and professional lacrosse coaches who are dedicated to the sport and our athletes.

We believe that lacrosse is an extension of the classroom—it is not only a sport, but it’s a lifestyle of character building, team effort, and passion. Evergreen Lacrosse provides an innovative atmosphere designed to train and support while BUILDING CHARACTER AND POSITIVE TRAITS that will last a lifetime.

OUR VISION

• Evergreen Lacrosse Club endeavours to develop the complete Student Athlete. We emphasize Character and Integrity while developing the best lacrosse player that each individual can be. Our focus is the complete person with distinction given to “student” in student athlete

• We provide an innovative platform for elite lacrosse specific training. This platform begins with state of the art facilities for both on the field and in the classroom instruction. Our goal is to develop a student athlete for college while developing a person for life

The Youth Development Academy (YDA) is a year-round developmental program for our youngest lacrosse players (Boys and Girls). The academy is broken up into two age groups, one for the U7 – U11 players and one for our U13 – U15 players.

• Focuses on the fundamentals of lacrosse and proper development techniques via weekly training sessions at the Evergreen Sportsplex

• Supervised by our elite, hand-picked, professional coaching staff that consists of current and former collegiate players

The Summer House League is a developmental league held in the summer season that allows our U7, U11, U13 and U15 players to practice their skills during the week in preparation for their weekend games against other House League teams. We welcome players that are less experienced, new to the game, or were not selected to play on ourtravel teams

• Focuses on the fundamentals of lacrosse and proper development techniques

• Supervised by our professional coaching staff• One weekday practice followed by two 30 minute House League games on the weekend

The Summer House League complements our Youth Development Academy where players can participate in both programs throughout the year without any conflictions

Practice/Event Breakdown:• 8 weeks, June to August• 1 weekday practice a week• 2 Thirty minute weekend games a week

Note, to play on our Select teams you do NOT have to have graduated from our Youth Development Academy.

Select Teams

U13 Select Team U15 Select Team High SchoolSelect Team

The U13 – U15 Select Travel Teams provide paths that many of our athletes can take after graduating from the U7 – U11 YDA, U13 – U15 YDA, or the Summer House League. Players must tryout for these teams and undergo evaluations conducted by our ELC Coaches.

• Focus on more advanced lacrosse, athletic, and chemistry development.

• Compete in competitive tournaments across the nation against other club teams

• Coached by our professional coaching staff

PRACTICE/EVENT BREAKDOWN:Fall & Winter• 1-2 weekday practice a week + speed/agility training

• 1 – 2 tournaments

Spring & Summer• 2 weekday practices a week + speed/agility training

• 2-3 tournaments

High School Players will have no practices or other ELC commitments during the spring season so they can stay focused on their high school seasons.

The High School Select Team is the highest select team that the Evergreen Lacrosse Club offers. Players must tryout for this team and undergo evaluations conducted by our ELC coaching staff.

• Focus on college recruitment

• Compete in prestigious tournaments across the nation against other club teams

• Coached by our elite, hand-picked, professional coaching staff

PRACTICE/EVENT BREAKDOWN:Fall & Winter• 1 weekday practice a week + speed/agility training

• 1 – 2 tournaments

Spring & Summer• 2 weekday practices a week + speed/agility training

• 2-3 tournaments

* Players may also be invited to be on the high school select team

Once a player graduates from the U7 – U11 YDA after reaching the age of 12, they will have the opportunity to try out for our select travel teams. Here, players will continue to practice regularly but will compete in tournaments against other clubs.

Players that are new to the game or are not ready to commit to a competitive travel team, (and do not meet the age requirement of the U7 – U11 YDA) will have the option to continue year-round development training through the Summer House League and the U13 – U15 Youth Development Academy.
