Dear ParentsThank-you to the many parents that joined uson Sports Day last Friday. Your presence andyour willingness to either participate or assistwas greatly appreciated. Thank-you to ourofficial parent photographers on the day: MaryLim-Lopez, Paul Denver, Marjan Paas, FrancesCapua, Wendy Worley and Tess Haynie. Ifparents have photos they would like to sharewith the classes or the PE department thenplease contact your classroom teacher. Wealso welcome constructive feedback from theday and ask that you take the time to e-mail
us ([email protected]) or comment throughthe PE teachers blogs. We use the feedbackfrom parents, students and teachers each yearto make improvements and value your inputat this time.Sports day is a celebration of an activelifestyle. A whole day devoted to physicalactivity as opposed to onscreen activity!Sports Day reminds us that physical activityprovides opportunities for social interaction, self expression, health, challenge andenjoyment. The importance of sportsmanshipwill continue in all activities we do in physicaleducation. Sportsmanship allows us to playcompetitively and still enjoy being activewhether we win or lose. Sports day remindsus as parents just how much fun it can be tobe active at any age! I hope you all find timeeach week to be active with your child.

Dear Parents,
A regular reminder please check that your childs
vaccinations are up-to-date. This is the first line of defense
against a number of serious diseases and I encourage you to
visit your pediatrician if you feel that your child may be due
for any vaccinations.
The following link will give you access to current US
vaccination schedules which may be used a guide. Most
countries have similar schedules and advocate a similarregime. If in doubt, please visit your pediatrician or ask at
the school clinic for contact details if you do not already havea pediatrician.

The ISM Swim team achieved very encouraging resultsat the IASAS Swimming Championships last week in

A huge improvement from previous years and ourfreshman swimmers, now have the experience and are
hungry for success next year, in fact they are already
