  • Mumtaz came to Dow from Mauritius, the famous Island Country in the Indian Ocean. He was a tall figure with fair complexion and with his hair style he resembled the iconactor Waheed Murad. It was for this reason that he drew the attention of many fromthe fair gender.

Sometimes when provoked, Mumtaz becomesoutrageous and learned to utter one or two vernacular abusive slangs and that too ina slow motion, ensuring not to mispronounce so that the offender understands wellthat he meant serious business.

  • After graduation Mumtaz did his house job in Medicine and Surgery at JPMC. Heopted for an Intensive care job at the Ziauddin Hospital in North Nazimabad.Munawwar and Zahid of ‘79 were already working there in emergency and anesthesiarespectively. Mumtaz enjoyed their company to the optimum. He excelled andearned a good rapport while in the ICU. The women folk working in the hospital werevery impressed with his knowledge and showed a lot of admiration for his skills.

  • After a brief stint Mumtaz returned to Maritius and kicked off to a very bright carrier asa family physician. His wife is a dental surgeon.
