FROM: Agency Head or CFC Coordinator TO: Agency Federal Employees CONTENT: Year-end Giving Reminder DATE TO SEND: Around Dec. 18-20 SUBJECT: A Good Way to End the Year Dear Colleagues: Meet Gerald, a Federal employee with the Food and Drug Administration. Gerald grew up in a family of 10 siblings, and during those years, his family experienced homelessness. “I vividly remember sleeping in the car and living in shelters,” he recalls. Remembering the difficulty of that time, Gerald now has a passion for ministering to the needs of the homeless community. At least twice a week, he and his family drive through the city to deliver food and personal care items to every person they meet who has a need. Gerald knows he can’t do it alone, however. In addition to giving his time and in-kind donations, he contributes through CFC payroll deduction, because the funding “will provide food, clothing, shelter and much-needed medical/mental health attention to everyone who needs it.” The holiday season is known as a time of cheer and goodwill, but for many in difficult situations—like those Gerald helps—it can be the most lonely, challenging time of year. We invite you to reach out and share gifts of kindness and love, both with your time and through your CFC contributions. The year is drawing to a close, but there’s still time to make a difference. Visit [ opm.gov/ShowSomeLoveCFC ] to support a cause that matters to you. (And remember, all CFC contributions are fully tax deductible!)

Dear Colleagues:

Meet Gerald, a Federal employee with the Food and Drug Administration.

In addition to giving his time and in-kind donations, he contributes through CFC payroll deduction, because the funding “will provide food, clothing, shelter and much-needed medical/mental health attention to everyone who needs it.”
