The Accenture online survey of 1,110 U.S. patients (06/2012):

• 90 % want to self-manage their healthcare leveraging technology, such as accessing medical information, refilling prescriptions and booking appointments online

• 90 % prefer web-based access to health information and education to help manage conditions

Similarly, Cisco study (2013) that includes 1,547 responses across ten countries,

reveals that 74 % of consumers are open to virtual doctor visit

• The number of eVisits will climb to 100 million this year - potentially saving over $5 billion, according to Deloitte’s research (2014): e.g. Kaiser Permanente’s ’HouseCalls’ virtual service had 15 million eVisits in 2013
