16 Representatives of the business and public sectors from Cambodia, Myanmar and
Vietnam are participating at the 3rd Pilot Master Trainer Training in the ASEAN
Region at LILAMA2 Technical & Technology College, the becoming Centre of
Excellence for TVET in Vietnam.
The training course from 4 – 22 April has been organized in a joint venture of the
Project “Effective In-Company Training in the Mekong Region” and the “Programme
Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”, both implemented by GIZ. Cooperating partners are
the General Directorate of Vocational Training (GDVT), Vietnam Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as well as the hosting vocational college LILAMA2.
It is also the very first Master Trainer training course for in-company trainers, which is
being conducted in Vietnam according to the new developed standard and curriculum
for In-Company Trainers (In-CT) from the Project “Effective In-Company Training in
the Mekong Region”
The standard and curriculum have been recently developed by 60 representatives of
the business and public sector of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines,
Thailand and Vietnam. The development process of the In-CT and curriculum have
been guided by the Project “Effective In-Company Training in the Mekong Region”
with professional advisory of competent German TVET institutions like Karlsruhe
Institute of Technology (KIT).
Due to the fact that the developed In-Company Trainer Standard and Curriculum
prove their quality and applicability for satisfying the need of enterprises in all kind of
business sectors, also Indonesia and Malaysia have joined the programme. Other
countries have pronounced their interest.
The training course focuses on building of necessary competencies of future Master
Trainers for In-Company Trainers. It will improve the recognition of high-quality
cooperative training between enterprises and TVET institutes. This training course
will also serve to provide the recognition of the standard and curriculum by the
business and the public sectors in participating ASEAN countries.
In order to achieve those goals, Dr. Le Van Hien addressed in his opening speech
the important role of LILAMA2 in developing the cooperative training model for
Vietnam and therefore took the initiative to proudly host this event.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Van Sam, Vice-General Director of GDVT of Vietnam, focused
on his opening speech on the cooperation between the business and public sector of
Vietnam, which is essential for a sustainable quality improvement of vocational
training and qualified human resource development in enterprises. Those topics were
underlined as well by Mrs. Bui Thi Ninh, Head of Bureau of Employers Activities of
VCCI and member of the steering committee for establishing the In-Company Trainer
Standard in Vietnam.
