    MONEYTREE FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM

    The Course

Our Children Could End Up Broke Before Reaching 60!

In today's world, it is getting easier to accumulate debts. Credit facilities like loans and credit cards

are readily available to most people. In fact, a study in Malaysia shows that more and more youths

now owe money to credit card companies.

This, coupled with the lack of Financial Education, has made it easy for our youths to develop poor

spending habits, resulting in a lifetime of financial misery.

The MoneyTree Financial Literacy Program is a unique program designed to educate and create

financial savviness in todays young generation so as to prepare them for the financial challenges

they WILL have to meet in the future.

Our philosophy is to provide children and youths with a CLEAR and PRACTICAL approach on how

they can start immediately and work towards a better financial future. In other words, children

learn in a fun-filled and stimulating environment with true to life situations.

How do we make it real for the kids?

The answer lies in our Mini Economy. In our classroom, children are given cash, credit cards as

well as investment certificates. In short, earning, spending and investing are all part of the syllabus

and presented in a way that is fun and more importantly, relevant to the children.

We even have a bank where children can do pretty much anything adults can do including earning

interest (and paying it where credit cards are concerned!).

They will also be given jobs and are expected to take full ownership of their job scopes. Just like in

the real world, they can get promoted, demoted and even fired depending on their performance.

The mini economy not only teaches them financial skills but also life skills responsibility,

presentation skills, decision making skills and much more. In short, it is a DRESS REHEARSAL for REAL

    LIFE!

This is the First Program of its kind in Malaysia to receive endorsement and recognition by an

academic institution. Upon completion of the MoneyTree Program, our students will be assessed by

Open University Malaysia. Students who passed the assessment will receive a Certificate by Open

University Malaysia. For more information about MoneyTree, please log on

    to http://moneytree.asia/malaysia/ or contact Penny Susan Choong @ 016 - 6355 388 for details.

    AIKIDO PROGRAM

    Who We Are

Yoshinkan Aikido Malaysia (YAM) is affiliated with the Aikido Yoshinkai Foundation (AYF) and was

established in 1995 to promote the Yoshinkan style of aikido in Malaysia and an appreciation of

Japanese culture within our community. Since then, interest in this dynamic and sophisticated

martial art has thrived; YAM attracts members from a wide across-section of Malaysian society,

irrespective of age, gender or culture.

    Our Philosophy

Our aim is to provide instruction that will help each individual attain proficiency through a

structured and comprehensive learning structure. But while performing techniques properly is very

important, so is a proper attitude. This begins with teamwork and friendship. We believe that each

person is a unique individual who has the potential to be the best that he or she can be. Building

individual as well as team spirit is therefore very important to us.

Benefits of Yoshinkan Aikido We believe that Yoshinkan Aikido can offer students at least three important benefits: (i) As a vigorous form of physical exercise, Yoshinkan aikido can lead to increased physical fitness. (ii) As path of personal discovery, Yoshinkan Aikido can build discipline and instill humility and lead to character improvement among students. (iii) As a martial art adopted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Policewomens unit and Elite Riot Squad, Yoshinkan Aikido is an ideal form of personal protection, and can improve self-confidence, especially among female students.

Class will be conducted every Tuesday from 3.45pm to 4.45pm.

Grading will be conducted by end of each semester and certificate will be issued by Yoshinkan

    Aikido Malaysia (YAM).
