DESERT STORM INVITATIONAL Wrestling Tournament December 14 TH and 15 TH , 2018 • Hosted by Dixie High School Coaches, The following information is for the 2018 Desert Storm Invitational. Please fill out the last page if you are planning on attending the tournament. Dixie High School will be hosting a Varsity and JV* tournaments. (*Depending on the number of teams who commit to attend, the JV tournament may be moved to Dixie Middle School, directly south of the high school across the athletic compound. This will allow both tournaments to expand the number of wrestling mats to accommodate more teams.) Once we have received your registration form we will be e-mailing out additional information regarding the tournament. Tuesday, December 11TH 2018 – All teams will receive an online link to enter their wrestlers informationforthetournamentthroughwww.trackwrestling.com. The link will be sent to the head coach withaloginandpassword.CoacheswillhaveuntilThursdayat11:00pmMSTtoenterallwrestlersandmake any changes needed.
Friday, December 14TH 2018–WeighinswillbeconductedbyeachcoachattheirschoolonFridaymorning.Allweighinformsneedtobefaxedore-mailtotheTournamentDirectorby10:00 am. Scales will be available at 1:00 pmtothoseschoolsthatarrivedinSt.GeorgeonThursdaynightorwantto weigh in at Dixie High. Coaches meeting will be held at 1:30 pm. Wrestling will start at 3:00 pm.
Weigh-insforthefollowingdaywilloccurafterthelastroundofwrestlingoftheevening.Toexpeditetheprocess,wrestlerswillbecalledinorderofweightclassasthelastroundisinsession,afterallthematchesinthatparticularweightclasshavebeencompleted.
Saturday, December 15TH 2018 – Wrestling will start at 9:00 am. There will be no morning weight in.Wrestlingwillrunstraightthroughuntilcompletion.Awardswilltakeplaceattheconclusionofthechampionshipfinals.
Coaches:-LunchanddinnerwillbeprovidedonFriday.AlightabreakfastandlunchwillbeprovidedonSaturday.
Weigh ins: Friday Dec. 14TH – Weigh-inswillbedoneathomeschoolwithweigh-informsbeing e-mailedorfaxedtoTournamentDirectorby10:00 am. Weigh-ins for second day will be done at the completion of the final round of the evening for each weight class. SaturdayDec.15TH–Therewillbenoweigh-inonthisday.
