DSAM Field View QAM GuideField View QAM™ Overview

Field View QAM™ OverviewLocate and Repair hard-to-find impairments on the Return Path. Tradi-tional spectrum analysis tools can show a clean spectrum, indicating pristine return path, while the CMTS and other reporting tools give overall node health a low health score. With Field View QAM™ micro-reflections, in-band frequency response and group delay issues that are undetectable when viewing only the spectrum can be quickly iden-tified.

A DSAMXT with Field View QAM™ can display an impairment dash-board with key measurements displayed in green and red providing a quick go/no-go indicator to technicians, confirming whether issues causing codeword errors such as microreflections and impulse noise have been fixed. 3
