K.D.F. Achievements:
The objective of the KDF was to deliberate on ways of main-streaming and institutionalizing
disaster risk reduction initiatives, analyzing the socioeconomic costs of disasters and
understanding the current situation and future trends with regard to DRR.
For KDF its anOpportunity of exposure as well as to make acontact and relationships and to
know about the Common Ground and lesson learned. KDF also displayed a stall with the
presence of other INGOs and NGOs.At KDFsstall we had display our HVCA maps,H&H kits,
FAD kits and emergency tool kits. We also kept some fun at our stall i.e. game; if someone wins
that game we were given one T-shirt with the logo and motto of KDF.As well as if someone
wants to become a volunteer of KDF so we were gifted the T-shirt and filled a form of
registration from that boy or girl. So in that way we Identified 25 Volunteers at the exhibition.
As we are emerging organization but still we remained dominant upon the other stalls; because
we received more than 250 audiences on our stall as well as we are the only one who try to
identify the volunteers. We also invite our Volunteer force from Mia Essa that they can share
their experiences and lesson learned as well as for their exposures.
Best practices and success stories of the project were shared through detailed presentations
depicting the activities, lessons learned, challenges and way forward. A number of products
such as different maps (overview, hazard, hazard indication and risk maps), leaflets, brochures,
display panels and documentary were on display.
