Under her leadership, the Baldwin County School District has implemented instructional initiatives and strategies that have resulted in improved student performance and the high school graduation rate has increased from 66% to 90%. Dr. Price has been successful in obtaining over 10 million dollars in grant funds for the Baldwin County Schools and leading the school district through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI) district accreditation process. Prior to her appointment as superintendent, she served as Deputy Superintendent of the Clarke County School District, where she helped to develop and implement school and system-wide improvement efforts. She started with the Clarke County School District in 2007 as an Associate Superintendent for Instructional Services and School Performance. Under her leadership, the district was named the Title I Distinguished District 2010, an honor indicating the school district was number one in the state of Georgia for closing the achievement gap between economically disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged students. Dr. Price has more than 35 years of experience in public education. Dr. Price has received numerous awards and honors, including Georgia Association of School Superintendents Finalist for 2020 Georgia School Superintendent of the Year and GSSA President’s Award, the Communities in Schools National “All In For Students” Award and many more. Dr. Price believes that public education is still the greatest option for America's children to receive a quality education. Through public education, any child, regardless of their race, ethnicity, station in life or socioeconomic status, can become a productive, contributing member of society and achieve the American Dream.
