“I am a supporter of Doha News. I support their mission as journalists, and I believe inwhat they are doing.”

Al Anstey, Managing Director ofAl Jazeera English, October 2012.

“The easiest way to keepabreast of the newspertaining to Qatar andthe region on a daily basisis to follow Doha News onTwitter.

With close to 6,000 followers(and growing), @dohanewsis our pick this month.”

Qatar Today magazine,October 2011.

“A website that pulls the best of whatever the media is saying inor about Qatar every day. In an easy-‐to-‐follow blog format, thesite has links to the actual stories where possible, and regularlyposts interesting and beautiful photos of the country taken bylocals and grabbed from their Flickr group of the same name.

Started on Twitter in 2009, it’s quickly expanded, and has a livelycomments section. You can also submit your own stories, makingit a truly community-‐generated news source. And while there arehandy summaries and pull-‐out quotes (for the time strapped), theyalmost always link back to the places to go to find out more information.”

Time Out Doha, Doha’s best websites,August 2011.

Beyond prominent ad space on a highly-engaged website, advertising with Doha News has a lot of other benefits:

Guaranteed inventory: We use forecasting software, so we only ever sell confirmed ad inventory. You get what you paid for, never less.

Customized delivery: Choose your ad placement, when your campaign starts and ends, the time of day it’s shown, how often it’s up, who sees it, and even rotate multiple ads. The choices are yours.

Real-time tracking: We give you access to the reporting data, so you can follow how successful your campaign is while it’s happening.

Creative flexibility: We can host text ads, images including JPEGs, GIF and PNGs, Adobe Flash SWF files containing animation, sound, video, or interactive features; we can even run custom HTML and JavaScript snippets. Whatever you’ve got, we can work with.

To clearly distinguish advertisements from editorial content, we require that all white background ads come with a border.

All ads with off-‐site links will open a new browser window.

No on-load pop-over ads.

All versions of creative that will be served via a third party must be provided for testing and approval prior to appearing on the site.

Images need to be good quality and have visual integrity. They cannot be pixelated. This being said, the smaller the file size the better, preferably around 35k per ad unit.

If the sponsor does not have a graphics person it can send a logo, preferably an Adobe lllustrator .eps file that can be re-sized without compromising quality.

All Flash ads need to be accompanied by a static image version of the ad. Flash ads may loop a maximum of three times, and should run under 12 seconds total. Pleaseapply these same guidelines for other animated file types, such as .gif files.

All ad units must be clearly identified as such.
