paradigm shift going on in how people receive
content. A switch from thinking just about
websites - to thinking about apps too.

All sorts of data. Performance data. Location of services. Spending data. And loads more. Central government is mandating that some data must be published - and encouraging services to publish other datasets.

And this is a data visualisation built in an afternoon at ‘Oxford Open Data Day’ - where local civic-minded developers got
together to explore public data.

Armchair auditors?
Government are talking about open data as part of ‘transparency
and accountability’. As the way services are delivered changes -
with more commissioning, increased localism and funding based on
evidence and outcomes - working with open data becomes an
important part of participation.
