DIGIPAK NET RESEARCH

Digipaks nets are the outline of a Digipak. Straightforward nets are usually 6 sides, and on the two pictures on the side, they are easy nets to use because we are ale to crop pictures in easily or lyrics of our choice. We are able to experiment with different themes that will make our digipak stand out.

The front of the digipak tends shows an image of the artist with large text or different styled font with their name and names of the album or single. Also the front of a digipak usually shows when the album/single is being released.

FINAL DIGIPAKWe chose a 6 side digipak because we looked at different grime artists and came to the conclusion that 6 sides was best. We didn't’t want to follow usual digipaks where they have a lot of colour so we decided to go for a grey scale theme. We took the pictures on the digipak on a different day to shooting for the music video, and this was because we had so many ideas of layout for digipak. So we chose to wait till after filming for our music video and this went well because we planned our time well. The front of our digipak is featuring the main artist ‘Arkitect’ and the featuring song which we created a music video with ‘Don’t worry about me’. We came to a conclusion that having a simple but effective digipak would work better than having lots of titles and credits. One of the digipak sides has a picture similar to the magazine advert, and we chose to have a similar picture because we wanted to link our work so the audience recognises it and this would result in promoting it well. We got our ideas for having lyrics on the sides from albums like Lana Del Ray and Rhianna. As much as these are not Grime artists it shows that our digipak works well even though it is in the grime genre.
