Mike Babcock is in his 8th season as head coach of the Red Wings.  He has compiled an impressive 360-161-71 record during his tenure in theMotor City. Overall, Babcock is 429-223-104 in his career, placing him 24th on the NHL’s all-time wins list. Last season, the 49-year-old nativeof Saskatoon, SK, became the 3rd-fastest coach to reach 400 wins, accomplishing the feat in 699 games. time scoring list. He reached 734 points (284-450-734) in 874 games, surpassing Trevor Linden at 733 points. He is now 22 points

away from surpassing Markus Naslund in second place (346-410-756). Daniel currently holds the franchise record for most game-

winning goals (61) and ranks second in power play goals (105). HAMMER TIMEDan Hamhuis is currenty on a three-game scoring streak, registering three assists in that span. Through Feb. 23 he ranked tied for 12thin League scoring among defencemen. The Canucks are 7-1-2 this season when he registers a point and are 46-12-7 since he joinedthe team to start the 2010.11 season.
