Mr. Shashikant Gupta, Chairman and MD, son of Late Shri Sitaram

Gupta, now at the helm of all affairs, joined this business in 1982 and

started looking after production. He also established a plant at

Kolkata as Uttam Laminates.

Manufacturing Facility: Spread over 53000 sq.mtrs. of land,

Sundek has a state-of-the art production unit located 45 km. away

from Ahmedabad city. The factory is equipped with ultra modern

imported machineries and best technical practices adopted from

across the globe.

undekS is the pioneer of decorative laminates in India. Bringing your imagination to life since 1987. Sundek is known for its quality products and innovative designs with a total capacity of 1,50,000 sheets per month, a staff base of 200

employees. It is undoubtedly a world-class unit.

History: Around 1968, Late Shri Sitaram Gupta started trading with

laminates from a factory in Kalol, Gujarat. Around 1972, he started

marketing of laminates from a factory named Visnagar Taluka

Audhyogic Sahakari Mandli Ltd. under brand name Modlam. In

1980, he set up a factory named Viral Laminates Pvt. Ltd. to make

laminates for the first time in the size of 9 ft. x 3 ft.

In 1987, Sundek India was born and started production of High

Pressure Decorative Laminates. We were the pioneer of this

industry and our key focus was on creativity and innovation. And

the trend still continues.

Strengths: Wide and deep routed network, teamwork and

exclusive designs.

The production unit boasts of an ultra-modern laboratory with in-

house R&D facilities that ensures continuous innovation. To attain

the highest standard in quality, specially selected papers are

impregnated with melamine or phenolic resins, pressed and

hardened together under high temperature and pressure to ensure

better bonding.

Ethical / moral and transparent way of doing business. Not just

earning for oneself, but doing something for good cause of society.

Social Commitments: Late Shri Sitaram Gupta and Late Shrimati

Shardadevi Gupta Charitable Foundation support various

charitable bodies and religious organizations across India.

In Sundek Campus we have a charitable Ayurvedic Hospital for free

of cost treatment.

Besides, we carry out lots of activities for social upliftment of the

villages around our factory.

Awards and Accolades: The stringent quality control maintained

by Sundek has earned itself a reputation and an enviable stature in

the Laminates industry. In India, the central government awarded

Sundek with the Top Exporters Award. It has also received many

state awards for excellence in exports.

We built a temple in the factory campus where people from

surrounding villages come to worship.

Quality Standards: With an ever increasing client base spread

across the globe, Sundek’s quality conforms to International

Standards. The Furniture Industries Research Association (FIRA) of

UK has confirmed Sundek manufacturing standards as equal to

British European Standard “BS EN 438”.

Running the entire factory at higher than international bench

marking cost and quality standards. Making best utilization of raw

materials by minimizing wastages, we are contributing to greener

earth. Working on lowest pollution even substantially below

government guidelines and best environment for the workers

inside the factory.

Sundek Laminates also conform to ISI standards. The modern

laboratory set-up ensures best quality products by testing not just

finished goods but even raw materials.

Upcoming Projects: Sundek is poised for a big leap in the interior
