The company

CPS Manufacturing Co is a familybusiness which has a wealth ofexperience in demountable stagingsystems. The business was foundedin 1966 by a structural engineer and the ownership still remainswithin the original family today.

Each contract is individuallyplanned to maximise the use ofavailable space and thereforeprovides a tailor made installation.In every case the shape, size andarrangement will be built to meetthe specific requirements of eachproject.

Early consultation during the design process is recommended in order to provide the client with the best combination of layout and specification.

The staging platforms are based on asystem which has been professionallydesigned and developed, being tried and tested worldwide.

Our best selling platform is easy to use andcompact for storage. The height of the stagecan be varied by changing the aluminium legs.

Designed for easy use in primary schools whereheavy items such as pianos are not required onstage. It does retain the Alu Rapid features ofcompact storage and durability.

A cost effective easy to use solution forsmaller stage applications. Designed to fitonto any of our stage products.

Studio stage can be supplied as a completepackage including the Alu Rapid platforms or can be added to any of our systemsretrospectively. Sizes and colours can beindividually tailored, a typical stage being 4 x 4 metres.

The upper construction consists of multi-chamberprofiled aluminium columns and beams whichprovide an easy-running curtain drawing system.

Designed to be totally self supporting, only boltedto the stage edge, the Alu Compact constructionprovides a complete system for the support of all the main and side curtains together with lighthangers and provision for the incorporation of sets, decorations, studding partitions, etc.

Alu Rapid or Alu Combi platforms can be usedwith the Alu Compact system.

■ Wide choice of finishes including lacquer, waterproof surfacesand strip hardwood flooring.

■ Valance: pleated fabric valances are manufactured in modularlengths with a velcro strip sewn onto the top of the rearedge for easy attachment.

■ Hardwood fascias: lacquered hardwood veneered panels withsolid hardwood lippings and interlocking corner posts.

■ Carpeted fascias: solid hardwood lipped panels can havebonded carpet.

■ Stained plywood fascias: for where a timber panel is requiredthis provides a cost effective solution.

■ Step balustrade standard: 27mm diameter tubular steel handrail is slotted into the sockets in the steps.

■ System steps are a tubular metal framed step with a dark anti-slipplywood surface. Steps interlock to form as many as required and are fixed into the accessory groove.

■ Timber steps can be manufactured to suit your requirements.

■ Solid timber balustrade can be manufactured to suit in a variety of timbers.

■ Standard handrails have a 27mm tubular steel handrail with a metal edge border.

■ Infilled handrails have the same specification as the standard butprovide greater protection.

■ Heavy duty handrails have a 40 x 40mm box section for strength and rigidity.

■ Alu Quick is a specially designed quick release castingthat has been made to provide easy connection ofsway bracing for heights above 1000m.

■ Leg clamps are used to provide extra stability whenrequired.

■ Transport kit includes heavy duty wheels, towinghandle and a strap.

■ Brass fascia fixings are used when wooden fascias are specified.

■ Ramps provide access for wheelchairs.

■ Backdrop curtains will give your stage a moredramatic look and enhance usability.

■ Klemmfix is an expanding connector that is designed to provide maximum stability and also levels the units.
