MASS INTENTIONS FOR THE WEEK

Dear Parishioners: I wish to inform you of the recent transition of our secretary, Claudia Jimenez. Claudia resides in Upper Darby, Pa. Recently, a new pastor was assigned to her home parish, Saint Law-rence, and needing someone who is bilin-gual. As a result, Claudia was offered a full-time position at her home parish. Her last day was celebrated with a luncheon and cake on the Wednesday be-fore Thanksgiving. Claudia will be missed here at St. Peter’s. Parishioners found her to be very kind, competent, and profes-sional. Taking her place will be Kimberly Piedra (See Photo). Kimberly first started here at Saint Peter’s working on weekdays in the atrium at the Welcome desk. Since she is also bilingual and has already been vetted and approved with child safety clearances, she seemed a logical choice for the secretarial position. I want to ex-tend a very warm welcome to Kimberly as she joins our pastoral and administra-tive team. Lastly, Father Donald Miniscalco, C.Ss.R., Who has been stationed in this house in Philadelphia for so many years, was just recently transferred to Stella Maris (Baltimore) where he will join Fr. Jerry Brinkmann in residence. Fr. Don had fallen several times and was needing assistance taking care of some most basic self-maintenance needs. Therefore, with ever growing dementia issues, the decision was made to have him in a place where he is safe & secure and will receive round the clock care. This would include medication management as well. Please keep Fr. Don and Fr. Jerry in your thoughts and prayers. The rectory office has their new mailing address if any-one would like to send them a card. We are so very grateful for the recent ordination of Fr. Huyen and Fr. Juan to the priesthood. They will assist us in picking up the slack regarding the exercise of minis-try here in the absence of the above senior pioneers. This holy Advent season, kindly remember these wonderful servants of God, both past and present! Bless-ings upon you... and you’re family! Fr. Richard
