For 2017, the Office of Investment Economics

(BOI Paris) lead by Mr. Choowong Tangkoonsombati,

Minister Counsellor and Acting Director, has organized

a group of investors from France, Italy, Spain and the

UK to attend SUBCON Thailand for its second year.

There were a total of 24 investors from 18 companies

– more than double the attendance in 2016. The show

consisted of major aircraft companies such as Airbus

Defense and Aerospace from France; and Cobham

from England. The show also had the world’s largest

French software development company, Dassault

Systems.

BOI Paris also organized many activities such as

business-matching in order to further expand

business opportunity; visit to the aircraft maintenance

center at Thai Airways International and participate in

important seminars that aimed to upgrade standards

for automotive manufacturers to the level of the

aerospace industry. BOI Paris believes that this kind

of activity will create tremendous synergy between

the two sides for business and long-term sustainable

development of networking in the Thai Aerospace

industry.
