CV YOUTH RUGBY Serving Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and York Counties SUMMER 2020 TAG RUGBY (BOYS AND GIRLS GRADES 1 TO 7) TACKLE RUGBY (BOYS GRADES 6 THROUGH 9) INTRO TO TACKLE RUGBY (GIRLS GRADES 6 THROUGH 9) Registration is now open for all boys and girls interested in playing tag rugby this summer. CV Youth Rugby offers tag rugby for boys and girls currently in grades 1 to 7. CV Youth Rugby also offers tackle 7’s for boys and girls in grades 6 through 9. Practices will be one night a week beginning the week of June 3 rd and Saturday morning games begin June 13 th . The season culminates in a tournament on July 25 th . Vacation plans are not a worry as we add extra players to every team to account for expected absences. Tag Rugby is an exciting blend of running, passing, kicking and scoring. It’s a great way to stay fit over the summer. The object of the game is, by running, passing, and kicking the ball, to advance and touch the ball down in your opponent’s Goal Area (like an end zone). A score is called a Try, worth 5 points. EVERYONE gets to pass, kick, and run the ball and to score. Rugby combines the fitness of soccer, the evasive running of football, the passing of basketball and is very easy to learn. Give rugby a try! REGISTRATION PERIOD NOW OPEN!
