Day 2: WAYLLABAMBA-WARMIWAÑUSCA PASS –PACAYMAYO. We start with the pick up from your hotel from 4.30 am to 5.00 am to direct them to the tourist bus that will take them to the town of Mollepata (2900msnm) Duration of the trip 2 hours approximately where we will take our delicious breakfast, then continue by bus for one hour more until Soraypampa (3900msnl). Place where we will get ready for our walk, ascending for about 1 hour to the Humantay Lagoon (4200msnm); After a time of visit and exploration of the place and the view of the Humantay mountain (5450msnm) in the chain of Vilcabamba in the Andes in the company of our guide who will explain us about this magnificent place then we will start the way back to Soraypampa where We will explore the Salkantay road (6271msnm) and the view of this sacred mountain the second highest mountain in the Cusco region. A wonderful walk to the "New Rainbow Mountain" through the area of the so called "Cordillera Arco Iris" (Rainbow Mountain Range). This spot has gained fame due to the unprecedented coloring in the sediments of this part of the high Andes. Since agencies in Cusco started to offer it, Rainbow Mountain quickly became one of the most popular day tours from Cusco. Pick-up at your hotel at around 06.00 am. We leave Cusco with our own private transportation and head to the south of the city into the Southern Valley. We pass valleys, rivers, mountains and some smaller communities. Our starting point is already at 4900 meters above sea level. We hike uphill for about 45 minutes to the highest point of our excursion which is at 5000 meters. We pass the unique formations of the rainbow mountain range. The view at the snow-capped Ausangate Mountain is breath-taking. Once we are on the top of our view point, we will have the Vilcanote Mountain range in front of us. You will have all the time to rest and to take pictures. Afterwards, we descent for about 30 minutes back to the starting point. We take the bus to the place to have our lunch and return to Cusco where we arrive around 5.30 pm.
