Degrees: Master’s, Specialist, DoctorateGraduate degrees with a specialization in Early Childhood Education prepare future educators for leadership roles in education including serving as master classroom teachers, college or university faculty, staff specialists in public or private school systems, and in governmental or professional organizations.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATIONDegrees: Combined Bachelor’s/Master’sGraduates of the ESE program receive their bachelor’s and master’s degrees simultaneously. Our teacher education program is a model service-learning program for the entire state of Florida. We are also recognized for the quality and preparation of our graduates.

EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT EDUCATION

Classes are small, so students can easily form lab partnerships and study groups. We offer a small school atmosphere rarely found at a major research university.

MATHEMATICS EDUCATIONDegrees: Master’s, Specialist, DoctorateStudents finish the C&I English Education program prepared to meet the demands of the teaching profession in the 21st century. As part of their advanced course work, students have numerous opportunities to work with adolescents and their teachers in local schools.

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

Degrees: Master’s, Specialist, DoctorateThis degree educates professionals who work in a variety of areas — early reading and writing instruction, language acquisition and development, K-12 school literacy, post-secondary reading programs, literacy teacher education, research and adult literacy.

READING EDUCATION/LANGUAGE ARTS

Degrees: Master’s, Specialist, DoctorateThis specialization promotes science learning for teachers through the use of innovative teaching methods in the classroom, laboratory, and field, and authentic assessment strategies that are applicable to the classroom.

SCIENCE EDUCATIONDegrees: Master’s, Specialist, DoctorateFSLE prepares teacher candidates for rewarding careers in English as a Second Language (ESOL) and foreign languages in K-12 settings in the United States. Our program also prepares students to teach English in educational settings abroad.

FOREIGN AND SECOND LANGUAGE EDUCATION
