Let’s Get Started:

How to plan your project: You want to decide how large your want your scarf to be? Also make sure to choose the type of yarn material you want to use.

Measurements of your scarf are 8” wide with gauge 4 yarn, (which is a thick yarn).

The stich you choose will decide how many stitches you will need to make across the bottom to get started.

Measurements For Scarf:

• Make your scarf roughly 8” wide with gauge 4 yarn (since it is thicker). You will need to choose a stitch that will have 4(Chains) x8

• So this means 32 total stiches across the bottom

• Add 5 Chains to equal 37 giving you 2+3 so that you can start your pattern on each row.

• Pull yarn out of the skein and make your initial eyelet knot for your to get started. Take your needle cross over yarn, pulling 1 notch through eyelet 37x.

Check out more about what I can do for you. . . . .

I've been ask about ply and what is what. So here is the "rule of thumb". Usually 2 ply is baby yarn or fingering yarn. 3 ply would be sport yarn. 4 ply would be the worsted. Last but not least, we have bulky or nubby yarn which is sometimes called 5 ply.
