What I learnt from „Big B‟

I had the privilege of working with Amit ji on KBC-1

We created the campaign

Kaun Banega Crorepati: 9 baj Gaye Kya?

I learnt so many things working with him.

Here I am sharing a specific event related to the movie clip on the next slide.

This commerical was directed by Priyadarshan.

Amit Ji was very busy with his film schedules.

So Priyan decided to dub late in the night.

Amit Ji came to the sound studio about 11 pm.

Straight away he told me…

“We will dub this commercial later.Let us finish other commercials first.”

At about 12.30 in the night he asked for a

„Paan Banaraswala!‟

I thought he must be joking!

But he was serious.

He said: I will dub this commericalwhile chewing a paan!

There was no Paan available.

He wanted something to chew so he called for toast sandwiches from his van!

He dubbed with the toast in his mouth!

„Jannab….!

He told me:

Dost! toast aur paan me antar hota hai.

Toast „pachar pachar‟ karta haipaan me „pachch pachchh‟ ki aawaz hoti hai!

His passion for such details makes himthe giant that he is!

Today is his birthday!

Let us wish him a long life!
