9.1 — Introdução
• O dimensionamento correto de condutores e de sua
proteção é um problema térmico. Trata-se de limitar acorrente, tanto a de regime permanente como a
transitória, de modo que os condutores constituintes
dos condutores isolados e dos cabos uni e multipolares
não atinjam, por efeito Joule, temperaturas quepossam afetar a integridade física, química e
mecânica, bem como a durabilidade da isolação.
