Because of its geographical position, our company is easy to reach both from the Venice Airport – MARCO POLO (away about 40 minutes driving) or the train stations of Sacile or Conegliano (away only few minutes driving). Also the A27 Highway, which connect Venice to Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto (TV) is only 15 km away from BIT S.P.A.

All above listed products can be produced by ourselves. For some other peculiar products connected with our main production we can also sub-contract them to some other companies under our control.

7 - Areas of production BIT S.P.A. has one production centre:

it is about 60,000 square meters, 24,000 of which are covered and served by nr. 24 overhead travelling cranes up to 20 tons.

8- Production capacity: 24,000 tons per year. Engineering We can provide design, calculation and workshop drawings for all our products as listed above. We can provide engineering directly through our office or through some other independent design offices which are specialized in design of different products and are usually collaborating with our Company.

An IBM AS400 which include the ERP for the management of our Company, one FUJITSU BLADE server which include 12 VM servers (Windows server 2008 R2 + 2 LINUX MACHINES), 42 PC, and 14 printers (Laser, inc jet, and needles) and 9 multi function primer are connected to central computer and to blade server. Excel, Word, Project and Access programs are usually used for the routine works in the technical and commercial departments. We can provide non cost engineering for bids of steel structures for workshop buildings. We can provide pre-order engineering consultation for all our activities at costs to be defined. can provide detail drawings from specifications and sketches. We usually work with ITALIAN CODE (UNI),BRITISH CODE (B.S.), GERMAN CODE (DIN), FRENCH CODES, AMERICAN CODES. We can work with ASME CODE section IX, and U.B.C.

Inspection and test Our Quality Control Manager is qualified as 2nd level, according to ASNT-ASME, for the following n.d.t.: - U.S. test - penetrant test - magnetic particle examination. He refers directly to the General Manager of the Company. We can perform all these tests with our own equipments. We subcontract the execution of x-ray test to an authorized Company. We can provide destructive testing using our: a) machinery "GALDABINI" for bending, resistance for tensile and compression stress b) impact test equipment c) two hardometers d) apparatus to make test on galvanized areas All the equipments are officially tested every 12 months by Italian Authorities and certificates are released. Quality System and other certifications Bit S.p.A. has been certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 by DNV (DET NORSKE VERITAS ITALIA S.r.l.). We use the quality system in each stage of production in workshop and in site. Bit S.p.A. has got a technologic laboratory with suitable equipments for destructive, nondestructive, impact and hardness tests. The instruments are controlled periodically and calibrated by external specialized agencies which issue the relative certificates. Moreover we supply the ironworks certificates of the used materials and if it is necessary we are able to confirm the same ones using our spectrometer. Our technicians can make the following controlls as they have got the ASNT Licence of 2° level: A) Penetrant liquid B) Ultrasoud C) Magnaflux We entrust radiographicals checks to external specialized agencies. Our welding processes, like arc welding, submerged arc welding and MAG welding, are approved by Registro Navale Italiano, Loyd’s Register of Shipping and Istituto Italiano della Saldatura. We usually work with the following standards and international rules: - UNI - DIN - B.S. - EN - ASME - Standards and specifications of FF.SS. and ENEL .

BIT Spa has also been qualified for EN 1090-1 and UNI EN 3834-2. BIT Spa is also a qualified supplier for Italian Railway RFI and Italian Energy Power Companies TERNA and ENEL. Scheduled Certifications Concerning the HSE Certifications UNI EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, the company has already completed the development of the written procedures and instructions and it is now waiting for the final audit and the consequent certifications release.
