The Principle Parts of a Verb(infinitive, present participle, past, past participle)

• Regular VerbsInfinitive – workPresent Participle – (is) workingPast – workedPast Participle – (have) worked

Regular verbs form their past and past participles by simply adding –ed to the infinitive form of the verb. You have been raised to do this correctly!

Irregular Verbs

• Irregular verbs form their past and past participles by changing the spelling of the work or making no change at all.
