New Brand Design

Philosophy

We Have Changed. KPIT Cummins is now KPIT

Welcome to a “New KPIT” with its new name, new logo, new colors, new goals and

elevated aspirations.

This change showcases us a dynamic, vibrant and a sharply focused company that

is confidently progressing towards becoming a billion dollar enterprise.

Our new name and look, in terms of color and typeface, reflects our progress as an

IT consulting and product engineering solutions and services provider to

Automotive, Manufacturing, and Energy and Utilities corporations. This

transformation begins a fresh, exciting phase for KPIT, one that echoes our goal of

creating and reinventing ourselves endlessly.

The fresh, bright blue signifies our evolution into a leading creator and

provider of strong technology solutions. Our new colors represent depth,

stability, knowledge, solidity, and an optimistic future.

The green color used in the identity bar underlines our commitment and

responsibility towards our environment.

We look forward to your enthusiastic support in this new, exciting phase of

KPIT’s journey towards a billion and beyond.

Default Blue Logotype

The Logotype

The new KPIT logo is bold and modern with a right slant and rounded letters,

representing the Company’s deep industry expertise and honors its desire to keep

moving forward. The more vibrant, contemporary and dynamic typeface mirrors its

passion for progress.

The Blue Logotype against a white background with the green identity bar is the

default logotype.

Position, size, and color, along with the spatial and proportional relationships with the safe space are

predetermined and should not be altered.

Note : The safe space needs to be maintained in every case.

The Logotype

We need to respect the logotype by giving it appropriate spatial space. The ideal

safe space that must surround the logo is equivalent to the height of the logotype

which is defined as ‘X’ space.

The minimum safe space should not be lesser than “½ X” / 50% of ‘X’

The white logotype on a blue background is permitted in special cases. However,

kindly ensure that the visible blue patch is evenly distributed on both sides of the

logo, and not confined to the safe space area. The patch should be ideally double

the size of the safe space area. The background patch does not have a defined

shape and size.

In print, the logo should never appear smaller than 3 mm in height. On-screen, it

must appear at least 18 pixels in height

The Identity Bar

The corporate color palette applicable for all brand standards are: KPIT blue, KPIT

green with white and black.

The KPIT Green known as the identity bar is a mandatory element

of the KPIT corporate identity. The identity bar has to complement the KPIT blue

or white logotype to a minimum width of 50% of visible logotype height (½ X) in

all media/applications.

The Green band can vary in length and placement in relation to the logotype. The

ideal placement of the identity bar would be at the footer/bottom or on the left

edge of the collateral/media etc.

Primary Color Palette

The logotype can only appear in the primary color palette as specified. If used on

the KPIT blue, kindly ensure the patch is not limited to the safe space limits. The

primary color palette should not be used in any tints or lighter percentages.

be used to highlight / depict supporting infographics and text in collaterals /

presentations. The secondary colors can be used in its

The Typeface


The “Segoe UI” font should be used as the default

font for PowerPoint (Has been built-into the Corporate

PPT template) and in professional Graphic design software

on both PC and Mac.

While working in Microsoft Word “Arial” should be used

as the default font

Follow the simple typography formula for effective and uniform

communication :

Keep it short and simple

Increase font in multiples of 3 - Body 9pt > Subtitle > 12pt > Title 15pt

Line spacing should be 6 point more that the actual font size used

Separate bullet points should have 2x line spacing with a dividing line

Keep text non justified and left aligned

Use sentence case

When “KPIT” appears in the body text it should always be ALLCAPS

logotype (max logotype width 1.5”). The green identity band could be used on the

inner cuff / the inner side of the collar or as arm bands on T-shirts / shirts

respectively.

Tints of the secondary color are permitted for the merchandise

base.

Usage of white / black logotype on merchandise is allowed if the default blue

logotype does not create enough contrast with the base color.

All and any type of merchandise design should be approved by corporate

marketing before going into production.

Every usage of the KPIT logo on any artefact/ at any event/ for any portal etc. has to be validated and approved by the corporate marketing team.
