CONVENTIONS OF A TITLE SEQUENCE

WHAT IS IT?

Films use a title sequence as a way of credits to show the audience who made the film, the team behind the film and who distributed it.

The aim of the sequence is to establish a genre, mood, a character, setting or an atmosphere.

Generally, the credits are utilized with sound and visuals. However, more contemporary films don’t include them.
