Orion Systems is headquartered in the UAE, one of the great international hubs for business and high-technology, with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and London. Our capabilities and resources enable us to work anywhere in the world, in the most challenging conditions. Our business and technical leadership has a long and highly-successful history in EMEA and the USA.

Our Team is made up of engineers and project leaders who have an outstanding track record of large enterprise software development and deployments.

We are a privately-owned, privately-funded company. Our Chairman has been in the region for over 19 years and was responsible for creating the largest systems integration company in the UAE Cimac FZCO, with over 700 full time employees. After selling his company to Schneider Electric, a FTSE 100 global technology company, he launched Orion Systems.

Integration

Orion’s software engineering and project teams have exceptional experience and expertise in the definition,

development and delivery of large-scale technology projects ranging from security control rooms to airport baggage-

handling systems and oil pipeline monitoring and management systems.

We are a master system integrator (MSI) of diverse complex operational and informational technologies and

applications - SCADA, PLC, DCS, BCS, Facilities Management, CCTV, Access Control, Physical Security, IT Security, IT

monitoring, Audio Visual systems and many others – into a seamless tightly-knit data entity spanning Facilities,

Operations (MES/TOS/AODB) and Security, that enables single-pane-of-glass Total Situational Awareness and Control

(TSAC) through Total Systems Information Management (TSIM). The combined real-time data initiates event-driven

standard operational procedures (SOP’s) and rules-based actions, and feeds through via workflow processes into all

associated subsystems and also into ERP systems, to provide vital management information and enable greatly-

improved operational and business outcomes.

Systems Integration Consultancy

Systems Integration is woolly phrase that covers a vast amount of ground. What is meant by a “system”? And what is meant

by “integration”? And in any case, surely all systems integrate out of the box today, using standards?

The reality is that out-of-the-box interfacing of the discrete elements of a solution is as far away as it has ever been, because

of the increasing proliferation and sophistication of the additional components and considerations that have to be factored in

: complex networking; advanced GUI’s; systems, applications and network security; redundancy; scalability; version

compatibility; single-pane-of-glass architectures; and so on. There is a whole world of “standards” but no such thing as a

global standard.

Many organisations are struggling with the challenges of monitoring and managing important segments of their operations

using traditional cabled architectures. But many have also seen substantial investments in wireless technology dissipated as a

result of ignorance, bad advice, wildly-exaggerated claims of functionality, overly-complex networking infrastructures, major

regulatory issues, and public and political opposition on a variety of grounds including health and data security.

And what is technically possible and what is legally permissible are not always the same thing. The world of wireless

The Orion Discovery Programme is a thorough consultative requirements analysis that enables our clients to get to the most

We then consolidate all of the data, analyse it and deliver a comprehensive report with a Statement of Requirements and

own solution, or may use the Statement of Requirements as the basis for a Tender document.
