8. Medical Practice Management Billing - SAH Billing

We ensure that collections from patients and medical schemes are maximised in the interest of your practice

Outsourcing is a common practice when it comes to medical billing. Most doctors will at some point find themselves outsourcing their medical billing to a professional medical billing - or a practice management company. Here are some of the reasons why:

It provides added IT security. It's a well-known fact that data loss can ruin a business. SAH Billing makes use of “cloud” technology so the data is always safe! With the adequate software and security measures taken, a client may log in from anywhere in the world to have a look at his/her finances or the doctor may even make use of the integrated dairy. This is also the reason why SAH Billing has clients nationwide.

You'll get your money faster. Most practices with limited resources can't designate multiple employees to concentrate on billing. This means it takes longer to submit claims, follow-up calls can be inconsistent, and your money comes in later than it should. With SAH Billing, your claims will be submitted more quickly and follow-up calls will be more persistent, all adding up to more and quicker revenue for your practice.

18our

serv

ices

Page 19: COMPANY PROFILE 2016 - Healthshare · COMPANY PROFILE 2016. Contents Business of the Year Our Unique Approach From the Executive Chairman From the Managing Director ... Healthshare

8. Medical Practice Management Billing - SAH BillingIt reduces rejected claim s. Seldom, staff members are appointed as debit controllers, but have many other tasks to attend to. Most of the time they do not have a good understanding of billing and debit control or the skills to be successful in debit control. Some practices are unaware of sound billing and statutory requirements. A great deal of rejected claims come back simply because of errors in coding or late admission of accounts.

It improves your business. Many doctors say that you don't just need an M.D. to be in a private practice anymore, you also need an MBA. An experienced medical billing company doesn't just send out claims, it's also a valuable business partner. SAH Billing will provide your reports on a monthly basis, detailing the financial health of your practice, and can recommend ways to boost profitability at the same time.

It saves time. Medical billing is an immense task. Outsourcing to a medical billing firm can take much of that burden off your shoulders. It will save you the time you need to concentrate on healing your patients.

It saves resources. Billing and debit control is time consuming and when a staff member has a lot of other duties to attend to, the billing and debit control sometimes do not get the correct attention where it is needed. Your staff may not be able to focus exclusively on billing-or have the necessary expertise. Practices that don't outsource often can't afford to have one employee focus on billing without giving attention to other clerical duties. A medical billing firm will have the knowledge and experience to take care of all the medical billing issues that arise with your practice and free your staff to concentrate on adding value to other aspects in running your practice.
