RICOH RICOH is a world leader in printer and fax machine manufacturing, which managesoperations worldwide.
Project Summary
Updating data present in the cubes which is being fetched and stored at Business
Intelligence server after ETL (DataStage) run.
Responsibilities
Responsible for Cognos Tool Administration and DataStage Administration
Involved in the designing and requirement gathering phase at the initial phase ofthe project.
Installation and configuration of Cognos 8.4 components on single server and also
in distributed platform. This involves installation of cognos gateway on AIXplatform.
Monitoring Datastage batch run. Provide root cause analysis in case of issue orerror.
Performed functionality and regression testing.
Prepared unit test cases for the application teams to test the environment. System Administration activities including User administration (create/edit
user/role/groups), datasource configuration, import/export of archives, cube
refresh, security administration (maintenance of folders, packages and accessrights)
License Audit and Management for all application teams.
Monitoring Datastage batch run. Provide root cause analysis in case of issue orerror.
First point of contact in case of failure in batch run.
Followed ITIL for process, which include correct update of tickets and maintaining regular
updates.
Managing offshore team, which involves managing shift for the offshore people.
