What is a young exemplar? It is an admired teenager that is considered an example that deserves to be copied. In this case, a good member (teenager) of the church that deserves to be copied and admired because of his actions.

A candidate for MTQNTYE must be a:

1. Little Pope

Checklist or requirements

Are you someone who is a pacifist?A person who doesn’t like fights?Someone who prevents fights?

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

A young exemplar is expected to prevent fights to become one in unity with others.

Importance?

A young exemplar should be able to exhibit the oneness of the church through his/her actions by being a pacifist to let everyone unite to be one with no arguments.This is to create peace and no conflict.

Are you someone who spreads the good news?

2. A Melodic Trumpet

Maybe in the means of telling someone their mistakes and helping them learn from it?

Importance?To let sinners (us) learn their own wrongdoings by being apostolic to tell those sinners what they did wrong, to develop and build a community of knowledge and morals.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

A young exemplar is expected to spread the good news of the Lord. This is to allow the community to be enriched with God’s news.

3. A Loyal Angel

Are you someone who goes to mass every Sunday?

Importance?To develop a good set of moral values by wanting to attain perfect faith by going to mass every Sunday. The gathering up of sinners to be purified, transformed and renewed by being holy.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

A young exemplar is expected to attain perfect faith by being holy to gaining new insights from the Word of God.

4. Snow White

Are you someone who is accepting?Someone who doesn’t judge others?

Importance?To have a better understanding of the church.To have less arguments in the community, thus creating a rich faith by bringing Christ to others by not being judgmental.

“Who’s the fairest of them all?”

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

In the church, we are all different, comprised of different people, yet we all are united. To show on how to bring Christ to others, by being Catholic, we shouldn’t judge them because if we do, this would just create a gap of conflict. Since we are catholic, the exemplar should be a person who is seen as a person who has the Catholic mark of the church to give Christ to one another by not being judgmental.

5. Little JesusAre you someone who prays everyday?

Importance?Praying daily strengthens our faith with God and because of this, we become united with him, this makes us closer to him. We can attain perfect faith with this.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

An exemplar is expected to be Holy and one way to do this is to pray everyday. This enrichens our faith with God.

6. Good ShepherdAre you someone who actively participates in outreach programs of the church? Not for the duty, but for the purpose?

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

Importance?It is important to be actively participative to go to outreach programs because you are helping out people and following the Apostolic mission to continue the teachings of the Apostles to spread the Word of God, in this situation, to help others.

An exemplar is expected to have the courage to sacrifice his/her time to help those who are in need. This makes him/her exercise the Mark of the Church, Apostolic because he is reaching out to the people who needs help.

7. ButterAre you someone who gets along with everyone?Are you a socialite?

Importance?

It is important to be a socialite in order to unite everyone as one. To make everyone feel like they belong by the presence of the exemplar.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

An exemplar should be able to be a socialite because he/she is expected to show the Mark of the Church as one because he/she needs to make everyone feel like they belong.

8. SaltDo you avoid sin? Everyone commits sin except for God

and Jesus.Importance?

It is important to avoid sin to attain perfect faith to be Holy. Everyone knows that all of us commit sin and we can’t avoid it. But what we can do is to learn from our mistakes that happened in the past, and try to avoid it.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

An exemplar should be able to avoid sin that he/she committed in the past to show that he/she learned from his mistakes to attain perfect faith to be Holy.

9. Dog Do you have respect for each other in the community?

Importance?It is important to respect everyone because without it, there would be disunity in the community. By having respect, the community would follow the One mark of the church.

Why are we looking for someone with this characteristic?

An exemplar should have respect to show the oneness of the community. If you disrespect everyone, then there would just be a separation in the community.

Details for nomination:1) Head to the MTQ’s office and ask for nominating the MTQ’s Next Top Young Exemplar.

Please take note that the nominations are only for the age group of 12-18 years old. 2) They will give you the paper for nomination and they will ask you to fill it up.3) Once done filling up all the necessary information, put it in the nomination box.4) Wait until further announcements, a text or email will be sent to you if you are MTQ’s
