There are more than 17,000 chairs located in over 300 classrooms on the UW Seattle campus. CTE student employees contributed over 30,000 hours to classroom maintenance, special events and help desk support last fiscal year. More than 24,000 hours of special events were managed by CTE Event Services staff during the 2016 calendar year. CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY & EVENTS Classroom Technology & Events (CTE) provides comprehensive classroom support and event venue services for UW Seattle, including multimedia and learning space design expertise, and innovative solutions in integrating technologies to enhance student learning. With a staff of Certified Technology Specialists, instructional technologies are supported in over 300 learning environments on campus. With funding appropriated by the University Provost, the department has launched a major initiative to update classroom technology across campus. Centrally located on the beautiful Seattle campus, CTE's premier event venues accommodate a wide range of activities and host hundreds of events each year. From lectures and conferences to receptions and performances, the portfolio of events hosted in the department's facilities is rapidly expanding.

CLASSROOM FACILITIES SERVICES Educational technology support, equipment, furniture, maintenance

services and access management for general-use classrooms and facilities on campus.

Expert tutorials of assigned learning spaces by a staff of Certified Technology Specialists.

Reservations for technology items in support of daily instruction or campus-wide special events.

STUDENT TECHNOLOGY LOAN PROGRAM

Design and engineering for audiovisual systems.

Installation services for general-use classrooms, active learning spaces, conference rooms, and other departmental learning spaces.

Consulting and audiovisual integration services for UW Capital Planning and Design projects and private space technology renovation projects.

Crestron certified audiovisual control system, lighting and user interface programming.

No charge, technology loan program for students funded by the Student Technology Fee and Services & Activities Fee Committees.

Equipment checkout available from three convenient campus locations (HSB, HUB & KNE).

Over 1,650 technology items ranging from laptop computers, digital cameras, projectors, and audio systems.

EVENT SERVICES

AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEMS INTEGRATION

Centrally located, premiere venues for campus special events (including lectures, receptions, performances, conferences and more).

Variety of event spaces spanning three buildings of over 45 rooms with capacities ranging from 10 to 720.

Full-service experience with ability to coordinate room layout, technology support and event staffing.

Equipment tutorials, of up to 30 minutes in duration, are available to instructors each academic quarter.
