MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN CCOP has seen another very active and successful year in 2014. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the CCOP Technical Secretariat for their continuing efforts and excellent performance in various tasks and projects under the leadership of the Director,Dr. Adichat Surinkum. I also thank all the persons in Member Countries, Cooperating Countries and Cooperating Organizations who have enthusiastically supported and participated in the activities of CCOP. Special appreciation goes to Ms. Franca Schwarz, the Chairperson of the CCOP Advisory Group, who continuously encouraged us with thoughtful and insightful observation.

As you may recall, activities in CCOP have significantly grown in 2014. Technical supports for the projects from Member Countries in East Asia as well as Cooperating Countries/Organizations have been steady in the few years. I appreciate the large contributions from Norway and Australia through the CCS-M Program. Another notable characteristic this year is that several Member Countries in Southeast Asia have initiated an increasing number of projects and seminars. This is a favorable trend that meets the recommendation by the Advisory Group in 2013, to promote more projects by Member Countries themselves.

The 50th Annual Session and the 63rd Steering Committee Meeting were smoothly and successfully held in Kokopo, Papua New Guinea (PNG) in October 2014 with generous sponsorship and wonderful hospitality of the host country. PNG has also announced that they will increase the cash contribution in 2015. I sincerely appreciate the Government of PNG for their strong support to CCOP.

CCOP has made solid and steady growth since its establishment in 1966; however, there still seems to be room for further progress. I think that our technological achievements in geosciences have not yet reached our desired level that can really contribute to the people in East and Southeast Asia. CCOP should be an international data center of geoscience and play the most important role to solve societal issues for geo-resources, geo-environment and geo-hazards for sustainable development of this region and beyond.

CCOP will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2016. The Strategic Plan of CCOP will be revised for the term of 2016 - 2020 as well. The 63rd SC Meeting in PNG agreed that a working group with responsibility of drafting the new Strategic Plan and giving recommendation for the 50th anniversary events will be established in early 2015. These events will indeed be very important milestones for CCOP to achieve sustainable growth in the coming decades in our region.

Finally, it is my pleasure that we are going to welcome a new member country, Myanmar, at the next SC meeting in Krabi, Thailand in March 2015. The 51st Annual Session in 2015 will be held in China. I sincerely hope that both meetings and other occasions will enhance the discussion and communication among the geoscientists in Member Countries and strengthen our human network toward the future, which I believe is the very advantage of CCOP.

The50thCCOPAnnualSessionwasheldatGazelleInternationalHotelinKokopo,EastNewBritainProvince,PapuaNewGuinea(PNG)on20-24October2014. ItwasorganizedandsupportedbyPNG’sDepartment of Mineral Policy & Geohazards Management, Mineral Resources Authority, Departmentof Petroleum&Energy andEast NewBritain ProvincialGovernment togetherwith theCCOPTechnicalSecretariat(CCOPTS).

The CCOP Progress Reportstartedbyapresentationof theupdatesof the CCOP CO2 Storage MappingProgram (CCS-M) by its ProjectCoordinator, Mr. Simplicio Caluyong.Dr. Adichat Surinkum, Director of theCCOPTechnicalSecretariat,summarizedthe Progress Report of CCOP includingorganizational changes (personnel),the current financial situation, technicalactivitiesandcooperationandsupportfromCooperatingCountriesandOrganizations

duringtheyear2013withemphasisontheprogressduringJanuarytoJune2014.TheMemberCountries,CooperatingCountriesandCooperatingOrganizationsrepresentedattheSessionmadepresentationsontheircountryandorganizationreport.TheCCOPWorkplanfor2015waspresentedbytheCCOPTSDirectorfortheinformationandcommentsoftheSession.TheAdvisoryGroupmetanddiscussedseparately,andpresentedattheSessiontheirrecommendationsforCCOP. TheCCOPTSDirectorreportedattheSession,thatCambodiacouldnothostthe2015CCOPAnnualSessionassupposed,due to the recentchangeof itsGovernmentandchangesofMinistries. ThailandDelegationinformedtheSessionthatThailandwillhostthe52ndCCOPAnnualSessionintheyear2016,forthe50thyearanniversaryofthefoundingofCCOP.

At the thematic session, all delegates were wearing a PNG traditional l shirt, called “Toana”, provided by the host.


A thematicsessionon the topic “Geo-Resources: Potential,DevelopmentandManagement”washeldwithcontributionof38presentations,including27talksand11posters.

GeologicalexcursionaroundRabaulwasorganizedonthelastday.HighlightsoftheexcursionincludetheboatcruisearoundKaraviaBaytoseeVulcanandTavurvurVolcanoes,andtheHotSpringsatMatupitBay.

TheDirectorpresentedtheCCOPProgressReportcoveringtheperiodfrom1January2014to30June2014.Thereportincludedtheadministrationandpersonnel,finance,technicalcooperationandprojectsupport, technicalactivities, fellowshipsandgrants,publicationsanddocumentations.Healsopresentedtheactions takenaccording to therecommendationsofallpreviousCCOPSteeringCommitteeMeetingsandproposedworkplan,budget for2015,whichwereconsequentlyapprovedby theMeetingwith someamendments.

Mr. Simplicio Caluyong, CCS-M Program Coordinator presented the report of the CCOP CO2StorageMappingProgram(CCS-M). Dr. YeMyint Swe, Director General, Department of Geological Survey andMineral Exploration,Ministry of Mines, informed that the Government of Myanmar has approved for Myanmar to become amembercountryofCCOP.TheMeetingacceptedMyanmarasaCCOPMemberCountry,andwillhaveasigningceremonyatthenextCCOPSteeringCommitteeMeetinginMarch2015,Krabi,Thailand.

TheMeetingacceptedThailand’snominationofDr. Oystein BergasHonoraryAdvisorofCCOP.Dr Oystein Berg’sexpertiseandwideexperienceisbeneficialandvaluabletoCCOPandtheAdvisoryGroup,andhehasgreatlycontributedthroughthecapacitybuildingactivitiestoallCCOPMCs.

TheThailandDelegationinformedtheMeetingthatthe64thCCOPSteeringCommitteeMeetingisplannedtobeheldon23-26March2015inKrabi,Thailand.

Chinavolunteeredtohostthe51stCCOPASand65thSCMeeting.VenueandtimewillbeinformedlaterafterconsultationswithMCs,CCsandCOsaswellasCCOPTS.ThePhilippinesinformedtheMeetingthattheywillinformandseektheearlyapprovalfromhergovernmenttohostthe2017ASand69thSteeringCommitteeMeeting.Thailandconfirmedhostingthe52ndCCOPAnnualSessionand67thSteeringCommitteemeetingtocoincidewiththe50thAnniversaryofCCOP.TheRoyalThaiGovernment,throughtheMinistryofNaturalResourcesandEnvironmenthasbeeninformedandagreedontheproposedactivity.ThailandwillfurtherinformtheCCOPMemberCountriesatthe64thCCOPSteeringCommitteethatwillbeheldinKrabi,ThailandonMarch2015.RepublicofKoreareiteratedtheiroffertohostthe2018CCOPAnnualSessionandSteeringCommitteeMeetingtocoincidewithKIGAM’scentennialanniversarycelebration.

TheCCOPTScontinueditseffortsinpursuingnewmembershipsinparticular,Myanmar,BruneiandMongoliaasnewMemberCountries.Atthe63rdCCOPSteeringCommitteeMeetingheldinKokopo,PapuaNewGuinea,Dr.YeMyintSwe,DirectorGeneral,DepartmentofGeologicalSurveyandMineralExploration,MinistryofMines,informedthattheGovernmentofMyanmarhasapprovedMyanmarbecomingaMemberCountryofCCOP.TheMeetingacceptedMyanmarasaCCOPMemberCountryandasigningceremonywillbeheldatthe64thCCOPSteeringCommitteeMeetinginMarch2015,Krabi,Thailand.


TECHNICAL COOPERATION Withavisionof “Geoscience forasustainable future” forEastandSoutheastAsia region,CCOPcontinuedtoadoptanevolvingprogrammeofactivitiesthataddressedthenewareasofconcerninresponsetotheneedsoftheCCOPMemberCountries.Capacitybuildingandcooperationworkshops,trainingcoursesandcasestudieshavebeencoordinatedthroughthefunctionsofthreetechnicalsectors:Geo-ResourcesSector;Geo-EnvironmentSector;andGeo-InformationSector,accordingtotheapprovedCCOPWorkplan2014. On-going programmes in this year included not only technical forums such as carbon captureandstorage intogeological reservoir,applicationofUNFC2009 foroil/gasresources,unconventionaloil/gas resources, mineral exploitation but also outreach activities such as mining inspection, sustainableuse of groundwater, development of geopark, geohazardmitigation and trans-boundary issues such astrans-boundaryaquifers,geochemicalmappingandgeologicalharmonization.Table3belowsummarizesthe ongoing activities in cooperation amongMemberCountries,CooperatingCountries andCooperatingOrganizations.

OtherCooperatingCountriesgenerallycontinuedtheirtechnicalsupporttoanumberofmultilateralandbilateraltechnicalcooperation(TC)activitiesinCCOPMemberCountriesbyprovidingvaluableadviceandguidanceaswellasresourcepersonsandtechnicalassistance.ThanksareduetoalltheCooperatingCountriesandOrganizationsfortheirprovisionofrepresentativestoCCOPwhohavecontributedinlargemeasuretothereview,assessmentandformulationofCCOPworkprogrammesandforthecontributionoftechnicalinformation.

The objectives ofT4weretohaveadeeperunderstandingof the methodologies and criteria forthe selection of technically accessiblestorageresourcesandtheuseofCO2forenhancing oil/gas recovery (EOR). Theagenda included hands-on exercises toassessandtestthesiteselectioncriteriaandstorageestimationprocedures.

The4thSouthEastAsian IndustrialMineralsConferencehasbeensuccessfullyco-organizedonNovember11–14,2014inBangkok,ThailandbytheMetalBulletinEventsandCCOPTS.Theaimsofthisevent are to hear about current mineral resourcesandopportunitiesinASEANcountries,tolearnaboutthe minerals in the ASEAN region, to understandmining legislation in the region.Theworkshopwaskindly sponsoredbyEUITECBarcelona, organizedbyMetalBulletinEventsandthefieldtripswereco-hosted byCCOP.Therewere 100 attendants fromgovernmentsandprivatesectorsrelatedtoindustrialminerals,including55resourcepersonsandspeakersfromCCOPmembercountry (Thailand)andCCOPTechnicalSecretariat. The event included a 1-day pre-meetingfield trip on 11 November 2014 in Uthai Thaniand Kanchanaburi provinces, a 2-day seminar onNovember12-13,2014inBangkokanda1-daypost-meetingfieldtriponNovember14,2014inSaraburiprovince,Thailand.


TheCCOPTechnicalSecretariat, togetherwith theVietnam InstituteofGeosciencesandMineralResources(VIGMR),UnitedNationsEducational,ScientificandCulturalOrganization(UNESCO)andDongVanKarst PlateauGlobalGeopark (DVKP), has successfully co-organized a symposium onDevelopingGeoparkswithinEast&SoutheastAsia region-OpportunitiesandChallengesonSeptember9-12,2014inHanoicityandHaGiangprovince inVietnam.Therewere30participants from localparticipantsandorganizers,8CCOPMemberCountriesandDirectorofCCOPTSattendingtheone-daytechnicalseminarandthree-dayexcursiontoDongVanGeoparkinHaGiangprovince. Keynote lecturesandcountry reportpresentationsduring themeetingcoveredvariousaspectsofgeoparks,displayeddifferentapproachestoconserving,protectingandpromotingtheirimportantgeologicalsitesastangibleexampleoftheirgeoparks.InordertopromotecooperationactivitiesongeoparkinCCOPregion,participantssuggestedCCOPtodeveloptheCCOPGeoparkNetworkandorganizefurthergeoparksymposiumsinMemberCountries.

The4-yearCGS-CCOP-ASEANGeochemicalMappingProject hasbeenfinancially supportedbyChinaGeologicalSurveysince2012.ThefirststagefocusedonTrainingandManualPreparation.Stage1:FeasibilitystudyoftheCCOP-CGSGeochemicalBaselineProjectstartedin2012withaKick-offseminarinMarch2012inNanjing,ChinaandfollowedbytheCGS-CCOP-ASEANWorkshoponGeochemicalMappingon3-8September2013,Nanning,China.Stage2:TechnicalmanualpreparationandTrainingcourseison-goingwithfocusontwoactivitiesasfollows:1)PreparationofaTechnicalmanualofsampling,analysis,datamanagementandmapproductionbasedontheIGCP259/360finalreport“theBlueBook”;2)RevisionandfinalizationofthemanualthroughpilotstudyinthetypicalgeomorphologicallandscapesoftheCCOPMCs.In2014,CGSconductedfieldtripsforsamplingandanalysisinLaoPDRandPapuaNewGuinea.

CCOP-VIGMR-UNESCO-DVKPSymposiumonDevelopingGeoparkswithinEast&SoutheastAsiaregion-OpportunitiesandChallenges


UnderthesupportbyGSJ/AISTofJapan,phaseIandphaseIIoftheCCOP-GSJ/AISTGroundwaterProjecthadbeenimplementedsince2005untilMarch2014.PhaseI,focusingonevaluationofgroundwaterresources and environments through its monitoring, composed of highly structured program towardsgroundwater related problems challenging all countries. Phase II, starting since 2008, focusedmore onevaluationofgroundwaterresourcesbymeansofdatabase,inordertofacilitateallCCOPMemberCountriestoshareinformationinthestandardformat.PhaseIIIoftheproject,startedinMarch2014,withtheobjectivesofcompilinggroundwaterinformationinCCOPcountries,andconstructingawebbaseddatabase,usingtheOGCstandardformats.Underthisprogram,eachmembercountrywillberesponsibleformaintainingthedataqualityandupdatingthedatabase.FinalobjectiveistoestablishabasicgeoinformationinfrastructureinAsiaandfortheworld.Kick-offmeetingofPhaseIIIisscheduledonFebruary11-13,2014inBangkok,Thailand.

CCOP-GSJ/AIST PROJECT ON GROUNDWATER ASSESSMENT AND CONTROL IN THE CCOP REGION

TheCCOP-GSJ/AISTGroundwaterProjectPhaseIIFinalMeeting ThemeetingwasheldonMarch18-20,2014inBandung,Indonesia,incollaborationwithGeologicalSurveyofJapan(GSJ/AIST)andGeologicalAgencyof Indonesia (GA).Asafinalmeetingof thePhaseII, this meeting aimed to update and finalize theworkinggroupoftheprogressoftheproject,aswellas share the current developments of groundwateractivitiesinCCOPMemberCountries.Therewere33participantsatthemeeting,including16fromCCOPMember Countries (Cambodia, China, Indonesia,RepublicofKorea,LaoPDR,Malaysia,PapuaNewGuinea, Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste andVietnam), 1 from Myanmar, 3 from GSJ/AIST, 10localparticipantsand2CCOPTSstaff.Themeetingwascomposedof2-dayseminarwithcountryreport

The CCOP Technical Secretariat, togetherwiththeKoreanInstituteofGeoscienceandMineralResources(KIGAM)andJejuProvinceDevelopmentCorporation (JDPC)hassuccessfullyorganized theCCOP-KIGAM-JDPCWorldWaterForumonOctober6-8,2014inJeju,RepublicofKorea.Therewere300attendants from governments and private sectorsrelated to management and utility of groundwaterresources, including 18 participants from CCOPMember Countries (China, Cambodia, Indonesia,Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Lao PDR,Thailand,andVietnam),KIGAMandCCOPTSstaff.

Held in2days inJejuandone-dayfieldtriparoundthecoastofJeju-doisland,thiseventaimedtoprovideparticipantsfromCCOPMemberCountriesanopenforumtoshareinformationongroundwaterresourcesaswellasbestpracticesongroundwatermanagementand thebottledwatermarket inCCOPMember Countries. The meeting agreed that the ways Jeju did for the last 20 years on groundwatermanagementcouldbeamodelofthebestexperiencesforMCstolearnandapplyintheirowncountries.

GEO-ENVIRONMENT SECTORCCOP-KIGAMPROJECT“SOLUTIONFORGROUNDWATERPROBLEMSINTHECCOPREGION”

TheProjectwasproposedbyKIGAMandadoptedasnewinitiativeatthe48thCCOPAnnualSessioninNovember2012withupdatesatthe60thCCOPSteeringCommitteeinMarch2013.This5year(2013-2017)projectissponsoredbyKIGAM,RepublicofKoreaandparticipatedinbyallCCOPMemberCountries.Thefirstphase–StepI,aimingtocontributetotheunderstandingofgroundwaterproblemsintheCCOPregionswith focus on: 1) Identifying groundwater problems in each country and2)Building trust and enhancingreliabilitytocopewithgroundwaterproblemsineachcountry,hadbeencompletedwith1trainingcourseinKoreaand1workshopinThailand.StepII(year2014)focusesonfindingcooperativemeasurestosolvethegroundwaterproblemswithtwomaintasks:1)Establishmentoftheinternationalnetworkand2)PrioritydecisionmakingforsolvingthegroundwaterproblemsintheCCOPregion.

FollowingtheTechnicalWorkshoponSolutionforGroundwaterProblemsinCCOPRegionheldin2013 in Pathumthani, Thailand, KIGAM has been gathering feedback fromCCOPMemberCountries inordertooffertailor-cutsolutionforsolvingthegroundwaterproblemsintheCCOPregionasperrequest.Inaddition,InternationalSchoolforGeoscienceResources(IS-Geo)ofKIGAMcontinuestoofferandsponsorfortheregulartrainingcoursesonGroundwaterTheoryandApplicationforCCOPMemberCountries.

KIGAM-ISGEO-CCOPREGULARTRAININGCOURSES Aiming to foster professionals from the developing countries as well as to enhance cooperationbetweenMCsandRepublicofKorea,KIGAMandInternationalSchoolforGeoscienceResources(ISGeo)continue to support and cooperate with CCOP to organize regular training courses for CCOPMemberCountrieswithsponsorshipfortwoparticipantspercountry.Foreachtrainingcourse,CCOPTSalsosentonestaffasatrainee,inordertogaingeoscientificknowledgeandenhancecapacityforbetterservicetoMemberCountries.In2014,threetrainingcourseshavebeenconductedondifferentfieldsofgeosciences.

KIGAM-CCOPRegularTrainingcourseon“FundamentalsonGeologicalSurvey” ThetrainingcoursewasconductedbyISGeoofKIGAMincooperationwithCCOPTSinDaejeon,RepublicofKoreafromJune2through27,2014.Theobjectiveofthiscourseistolearnfundamentalscience:frombasics toapplications in thefieldgeology.For thispurpose, this courseconsistedof fourmodules:“IntroductionofPetrology&Petrogenesis”,“GIS/RITheoryandDataProcessing”,“StructuralGeology”and“QuaternaryGeology”.AfieldtripinRepublicofKoreaforQuaternaryGeologicalmappingwasincluded.Therewere13participantsfromCCOPMemberCountries(i.e.Cambodia,China,Indonesia,LaoPDR,Malaysia,PapuaNewGuinea,Philippines,Thailand,Timor-Leste,Vietnam),observercountries (i.e.Myanmar)andCCOPTS.

CCOP-UOT-DMRWORKSHOPONINSARAPPLICATIONFORGEOHAZARDS The CCOP TechnicalSecretariat, together withDepartmentofMineralResourcesofThailand(DMR)andUniversityofTokyo(Japan)hassuccessfullyorganized the CCOP-DMR-UOTWorkshop on INSAR Applicationfor Geohazards on 19-20August 2014 in Bangkok andKanchanaburi, Thailand. Therewere 34 participants from CCOPMember Countries, University ofTokyo and 3 CCOP TS staff. Acooperation possibility betweenthe Geo-Informatics and SpaceTechnology DevelopmentAgency(GISTDA) of Thailand and theneighboring Member CountrieswasvisiblewiththeoffertoshareINSARdataby theAgency.After themeeting,all participants tookpart inanexcursion inKanchanaburiprovincetoseetheseismicmonitoringstation,triangularfacetsasevidencesforactivefault,affectedvillagein theLandslideWatchNetwork,occurrencesof rareearthelements in theweathergranitic rockand themetamorphiczonealongtheboundarybetweenThailandandMyanmarintheprovince.

ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS SUPPORT PROGRAMME IN THE CCOP AND OTHER REGIONS The 48th CCOP Steering Committees Meeting in Daejeon, Republic of Korea endorsed theEnvironmentalAnalysisSupportProgrammeintheCCOPandOtherRegionsproposedbyAIST/GSJundertheauspicesofJapanRadioisotopeAssociationandIwateMedicalUniversity.Thisprogrammehascontinuedsupportingin-kindservicesonenvironmentalspecimens,whichareanalyzedbyPIXEmethod.Theserviceisstillopenuptothemaximumnumberof500samplesperyearanditwillbecontinuedannually.

GEO-INFORMATION SECTORCCOP-CGSCAPABILITYENHANCINGININTEGRATEDGEOPHYSICAL&GEOCHEMICAL DATA PROCESSING PROJECT (IGDP) TheCCOP-CGSCapabilityEnhancinginIntegratedGeophysicalandGeochemicalDataProcessingProject (IGDP)startedsince2013under thesupportofChinaGeologicalSurvey (CGS).Theaimof thisproject is to keepCCOPMemberCountries continuously benefit frommodern information technology ingeoscientificstudyandmineralexplorationtechnologyintheMemberCountriesandaroundtheworld,basedonIGDP–adesignedsoftwareforregionalgeophysicalandgeochemicaldataprocessingandmappinginmineralresourceassessmentandexploration.CGScontinueswithmethodologyandsoftwaretrainingandcasestudiesinsomeareaswithlocaldatain2014.ThesecondWorkshop/TrainingofIntegratedGeophysicalandGeochemicalDataProcessing(IGDP)ProjectwasheldonAugust22-24,2014inKunming,China.The 2ndWorkshop/TrainingofIntegratedGeophysicalandGeochemicalDataProcessing(IGDP) Project ThemeetingheldonAugust22-24,2014inKunming,ChinawashostedandfundedbyChinaGeologicalSurvey(CGS)in cooperationwithCCOP. This activitywas co-organized by the Developmentand Research Center (DRC), CGS andYunnan Information Center of GeologyandMineralResources(YICGMR).Therewere 45 participants in the workshop/trainingfromCCOPandASEANcountries(Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos,Malaysia,Myanmar,Philippines,Thailandand Vietnam) and other countries(People’s Republic of Korea, Pakistan,PeruandSriLanka).

During the discussion, participants fromCCOPandASEANCountries expressed their need of aweek-longintensivehands-ontrainingontheuseofRGIS-IGDPsoftware,togetherwithon-sitecasestudies.AlltheparticipantsreceivedapackageoftheRGIS-IGDPSoftwareaswellascertificateofparticipationattheendoftheworkshop.

ASEAN HARMONIZED GEOLOGY PROJECT(ASEANSeamlessGeologyProject)

CCOP/ASEANKick-offmeetingofHarmonizedGeologyProject On July 16-17, 2014, CCOPcoordinatedwithDMRofThailandtoholdthekick-offmeetingoftheCCOP-ASEANHarmonizedGeologyProjectinBangkok,Thailandwith21participants,including17Web-GIS trained experts and resourcespersons from Member Countries:Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, Lao PDR,Vietnam,and4CCOPTSstaff.

The meeting agreed on 3important points as follows: 1- Work onharmonization not compilation; 2- FixresponsiblepersonsforASEAN&CCOP(at least2 fromeachMC);3-Start fromASEANthenextent toCCOP.The latestversionsofnationalgeologicalmapswererecommendedtoMCstobeusedasinputmapsforthisproject.AtemplateworksheetwaspreparedbyDr. Yutaka Takahashi,resourcepersonfromJapan.

Discussion on how to implement the geological harmonization at boundaries among Member Countries.

The project was proposed by Japan at the 60thCCOPSteeringCommitteeinMarch2013.AnetworkofNationalCoordinatorsinCCOPMemberCountrieshasbeenestablished,acting as Global Heritages Stone Resource (GHSR) andHeritagesStoneTaskGroup(HSTG).GuidelinesforAuthorsandadraftmanuscript of the JapanChapter havebeenpreparedby the project leader, Dr. Hirokazu Kato and Japan nationalcoordinatorsandhavebeencirculatedtoNationalCoordinatorsofallparticipatingMemberCountries.TwobusinessmeetingsoftheHeritagesStoneTaskGrouphavebeenheldinconjunctionwithCCOPAnnual Sessions onOctober 22, 2013 in Sendai,JapanandOctober22,2014 inKokopo,PupuaNewGuinea,respectively.Thebookisplannedtobepublishedinearly2015.

ThesecondfacilitationmeetingoftheCCOPHighEducationSupportNetworkProgramwasheldonMarch3,2014inChiangMai,Thailand,inconjunctionwith the 62nd CCOP Steering Committee meeting.Thereweretotally11participantsfromCCOPMemberCountries(Japan,Indonesia,Malaysia,ThailandandVietnam). During themeeting, participants listenedto the project introduction, given by Prof. Dr KojiWakita,anddiscussedoncooperationmethodandactivities.OtherMemberCountriesinCCOPNetworkare welcomed to participate and facilitate furtherconnectionforthenetwork.
