Stará Ľubovňa Castle• partly well-preserved and reconstructed castle on the chalky hill • was built in the 2nd half of the 13th century• belonged to the system of border fortresses, that protect trade routes to Poland• the archaeological and architectonical research
Červený Cloister• between the Dunajec and Lipnicky brook• PIENAP• 14th – 16th century- Carthusians • 1563 - was abolished• 1711 – Camalduls• renovation of the cloister • museum
Kežmarok manor-house• is a gothic urban castle• originally a church converted into a castle in 1462 and in the 17th century into a manor-house• was Renaissance, Baroque and Classical style
Hanigovce Castle• village Hanigovce to Čerchovské mountains• 1448 – Hussites Bardejov in danger• 1557 – burned down• aristocrats Martin and Gašpar Pečovskí• marvellous view
Plaveč Castle• built in 1294• was a small stony castle• rebuilt as a manor-house afterwards• protected an important road junction between the
valley of the Torysa and Poprad river
Brekov Castle• on Ondavská vrchovina• built between 1295 -1307• 1558- heavily damaged• was abolished in 17th century• nice view
Zborov Castle• situated South of Zborov• built at the end of the 13th century as a protection of the Polish-Hungarian trade route• protection from the Turks
Šariš Castle• the right bank of the river Torysa• the castle bailiff seat• protect the business way• Matrin - first castle bailiff• 1687- burned down
