Career Assignment – Animal Science 2 DUE MONDAY SEPTEMBER 15, 2014

For this assignment you will work individually. You will be responsible for making a creative

product that describes an animal science related career of your choice (that has been approved

by Mrs. Bunch). This will be presented by you, to the rest of the class, in a science-fair type

setup. Your product should be interactive or somehow engage your audience. Products include:

icosohedrons, comic strips, games, dioramas, interactive trifold boards, songs, skits, ETC.

Check the lists below for ideas. Think outside the box…don’t just create a generic poster. You

may add additional information as you wish, but make sure that you at least have the required

elements below. Your products need to include the following information about your career:

1. Career Name and Pictures/Drawings

2. Job Description (What do they DO?)

3. Training and Education Needed (does it require a HS diploma, or a DVM?)

4. Job Outlook (is there a bright future? Are there more jobs open than applicants to fill?)

5. Working Conditions (inside, outside, hard manual labor, etc.)

6. Earnings (how much $$$$$)

7. Why are you interested in this career/why does this career sound interesting? (optional)

8. Sources of Information – URLs to websites, citations for print materials, etc. a. AT LEAST THREE SOURCES (not including pictures)

b. List every single source that you use, including sources for pictures and video – otherwise you

are plagiarizing!

c. Do NOT use Wikipedia, if you have a question about the credibility of a source ask Mrs. Bunch
