A Presentation on Static Analysis
Using Ansys
Types of analysis
Static
Dynamic
Harmonic
Fatigue Electromagnetic
Seismic
Static analysis can be
done in two methods
like
(i) GUI (Graphic User
Interface) method and
(ii) APDL (Ansys
parametric design
language) method.

Continued. In GUI, the icons are used to create and
analyse the model in ANSYS. By clicking the icons in the screen using the
input devices ,the model is generated.
In APDL, the code is generated to create and
analyse the model.
Different materials are in the material library

Finite Elements in Ansys
Ansys is a tool which can also be used for
Finite element analysis. The model or domain can be discretised
using known elements.
The elements are made up of nodes.
The material properties also can be assigned
to the materials manually.

The volume or area is meshed then.
The density of the mesh also can be defined. The boundary conditions are fixed and the
loads are also applied.
Structural Loads are of different types.
(i) Force load (ii) Pressure load
(iii) Temperature and
(iv) inertia

Finishing the solution task and solve theproblem.
Post processing
The nodal solutions and element solutions interms of stress, strain and displacements can
be seen in pictorial view as well as numbers. Using Pr and Pl commands the outputs can
be seen.

Completing the analysis and quit the Ansys
with or without saving your database fileusing quit command.
From this stress values and strain values ,
the fatigue value also can be calculated in
the next steps. Optimization also can be done over the
model using optimization task.
