A Swegon companyBlue Box, a company in the Swegon Group, is one of the leading manufacturers of chillers and heat pumps. The factory has modern production facilities situated in Cantarana di Cona, near Venice in Italy.

In 2010 Blue Box became a member of the Swegon Group. Swegon is one of the leading suppliers of air handling units, water-borne and airborne climate systems, flow control plus products for acoustic and residential ventilation. With the addition of Blue Box we are now also a leading supplier of chillers and heat pumps.

Swegon has a unique position as a supplier of comprehensive solu-tions focused on energy efficient systems that also offer the client added value – a better indoor climate, lower operating costs and lower installation costs.

Our primary goal is to solve all customer require-ments in all our areas of operation.

This approach allows us to deliver not just different products for different needs, but truly comprehen-sive solutions throughout all our operations in the fields of industrial, commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration.

In line with this philosophy, a dedicated team at Blue Box is constantly at work seeking the most advanced technical and design solutions to provide the most fitting answer to all types of cooling and heat pump requirements.

We were first to design and build chillers with screw compressors, an innovation that brought significant benefits to the product in terms of reliability and noise reduction. Packaged air conditioners, brazed-plate exchangers on large capacity units, patent for defrosting, chillers with R410A refrigerant and modular, customizable chillers delivered in 7 days are other innovations from us.

The result of our efforts is a very wide and com-plete range of products and professional equipment at the highest quality level.

Ever more stringent requirements are made on the power consump-tion of buildings. Most of the Blue Box products are available in energy consumption class A or in other high efficency tech-nologies like free cooling. This means a minimum energy consumption, saving both operation costs and the environ-ment.

Leading the developmentWe do not follow the market, we lead. Our Test Lab is state of the art for the testing of units and prototypes. The climate con-trolled facility, completely autonomous and independent, can accommodate any unit and test its capacity and performance from -15°C to +50°C.

The air handling unit provides free cooling when temperature conditions allow. When more cooling is needed, the Blue Box chiller provides the cooling coil with chilled water.When heating is needed, a boiler or district heating provides the heating coil with warm water.
