who are we? The Berkeley Student Food Collective is dedicated to providing fresh, local, healthy, environmentally sustainable and ethically produced food at affordable prices to the Berkeley campus and greater community. We seek to educate students about nutrition and food systems, empower new leaders, and train youth to work in and manage a sustain- able businvess. Through inclusive, democratic decision-making, we operate a cooperative gro- cery market that promotes community-build- ing and environmental stewardship. where are we? 2440 Bancroft Way , #102, Berkeley, CA what are we? • A living classroom with over 150 volunteer-students • A local non-profit [501(c)(3)] public-benefit corporation • A produce delivery service and CSA • A credit-earning student-taught class: “Berkeley in the Global Food System” • A multiple-time TGIF grant award winner • A candidate for vendor space in the Lower Sproul Redevelopment Project on campus • A campus institution • A bold rethinking of our relationship with food, business, and one-another • Really delicous.
