TESTIMONIESMany BBTCians took advantage of CNY to give out red packets and mandarin oranges. From interactions with taxi drivers and cleaners, to going to neighbouring blocks, many of these encounters have led to divine opportunities for further blessing through a prayer or an invitation to come to church. Here is one of the testimonies:“During my visits to the block over the past year, I befriended a young Thai or Vietnamese mother of a 6-year-old son. She was very happy to see me during the community blessing, saying: ‘You are here again!’ We exchanged phone numbers and I told her that I would let her know if there was any programme in church for kids. I invited her to bring her son to our Kids For Christ (KFC) service. I am glad that my visits to the block over the past year are bearing fruits.”

For those who have been blessed and would like to continue blessing and befriending the residents in the community, email [email protected].

What I found most useful was the biblical perspectives of parenting.

I enjoyed the honest sharing and the practical tips on parenting.

The course reminded me to have personal time as a couple even after the child is born.

“ “ “ “FEEDBACK FROM PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS OF THE PRE-PARENTING COURSE

I’m glad to have attended this course. It reminds me of the spiritual aspects of parenting, especially when the other aspects get overwhelming.

CONGRATULATIONSWe rejoice over the birth of Emma Chan Jia Qi, daughter of Alvin & Eileen Chan, on Feb 7.

ROAD SAFETY: STAY SAFE, BE GRACIOUSWe would like to remind BBTCians to observe road safety and graciousness both as drivers or pedestrians, to maintain a good witness as Christians within the community. Please avoid jaywalking or making illegal U-turns. Also, try not to alight along the main road.

PRIORITY ON BBTC LIFTSWe would like to remind BBTCians attending Services that priority in using the lifts should be given to parents with prams and young children, the elderly, and those with physical disabilities.

For the able-bodied among us, kindly avoid using the lift and use the stairs. If you are already in the lift and someone in greater need approaches, please vacate your space on the lift.

We thank you for your kind cooperation.

CONDOLENCESWe extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Joyce, Edward and Timothy Tan on the homecall of Joyce’s mother, Mary Seet Kiok Neo, on Feb 9.

PARKING IN CHURCHWe also seek your understanding in not parking in the church compound during the Saturday and Sunday services. Parking lots in BBTC should be reserved for visitors only. We politely request that those ferrying young children or the elderly drop their passengers off in church first before parking outside the church compound.

A handful of lots in the BBTC car park involve double-parking, where a parked car may block the car behind it. For those who park in these lots, please observe the following rules:

1 Write your name, handphone number and location within church on the form provided. Leave this on your windscreen so the driver of the blocked car can contact you. Check your phone regularly to ensure you are not preventing someone from moving his or her car.

2 If you intend to stay in church for an extended period, please avoid these lots altogether.
