Listening to our customers has determined whats most important to you and our decision to change refl ects this. Its clear that the consistent quality and great value of the BAKO Own Label range really helps you face the challenges of the ever evolving bakery and foodservice market, but there is even more that we could do to help.

In such a busy and diverse industry, we need to make it as quick and easy as possible for you to select the right products for your business. We also need to be better at sharing our expertise, trend information, ideas and inspiration to help you meet demand and sell more. And with so much legislation, we need to provide you with all relevant technical information in an easy to digest format.

2016 is going to see the re-launch of BAKO Own Label and as part of this we have decided to rename it BAKO Select. The new name is a demonstration of the quality you can rely on, as the range is carefully selected by experts for experts. We will continue our commitment to quality, consistency and value under this new identity and a new categorisation will make it even easier to understand how best to benefi t from the fantastic range.

The planned re-launch will take place in January 2016, but you may notice some early packaging changes in the coming months. There is nothing to be concerned about, the products inside will be exactly the same as youre used to.

Market Summary ReportOctober 2015

Oils & FatsSoyabean oil prices fell in Rotterdam (-5%) due to expected recordproduction and an increase in ending stocks. Palm oil prices fellRotterdam (-19%) due to high carry-over stocks and recordproduction. Recent price falls were additionally driven byescalating concern about the Chinese economy. Palm kernel oilprices also fell 24% in Rotterdam while Rapeseed oil prices fell(-6%) due to good supplies of other vegetable oils. Coconutoil prices remained stable in the Philippines (0%), but fell inRotterdam (-11%). Olive lampante oil prices rose in Spain (+14%)due to tight stocks.

GrainsMilling wheat prices fell in the UK (-14%) and (-11%), on LIFFEParis. Oat prices fell on CBOT US (-10%), but remained stable inthe UK (0%).

IngredientsTurkish hazelnut prices continued to fall driven by favourableproduction forecasts due to good growing conditions since May,as the crop has been receiving optimum amount of rain andsunshine. Almond prices fell in the US (-1%), but remained steadyfor Spain For dried fruit, Turkish raisins (+7%) and sultanas (+1%)saw price increases as production is expected to be almost 40%down this season, at 200,000 tonnes due to adverse weatherconditions of frosts in April and hail storms in June. Turkish driedapricot prices fell (-6%).

VegetablesAs the potato season is underway, prices for potatoes fell onaverage across the EU but remained unchanged in the UK (0%).Onion prices were mostly well down across the EU but pricesincreased in the UK (+15%).

Milk & DairyIncreased supply is helping lower milk prices across the EU. EUbutter prices fell (-6%) on average although increased creamprices has underpinned any losses. Dairy powder prices remainlow in August, with Europeanwhey down (18%), Shell egg priceswere mixed across the EU, with prices up (+12%) in the UK.

EnergyBrent crude oil prices on ICE London (-19%) and light sweet crudeoil on NYMEX US (-18%) fell due to continued oversupply in themarket and a slowdown in both the Chinese and Japaneseeconomies, bringing prices down to their lowest level since 2009.EU wholesale diesel and petrol fell (-15%.)
